SAME! I used to feel so insecure in my outfits even though I was trying. Spending an hour or two every so often and just taking photos in the mirror of mixed-and-matched clothes from your closet is such a valuable exercise... I finally figured out that all my satin long sleeve shirts look incredible underneath dresses and vests, that's a game changer hahah I never knew how to style so many of my cool pieces, it's just a matter of taking the time to try stuff on with EVERYTHING else and certain combinations are magic! Anyway all that is to say that Tiny Acorn's colorful wardrobe video was the video that totally changed my idea about how to wear clothes! so REFRESHING from the MILLION of "neutral capsule wardrobe" videos, If i see beige and white and grey together one more time..... 🤯😂

Style does change & evolve...I was always a vintage fashionista risk taker since middle school. Now in the last few years-I have gone thru the whole making my own clothes saga now that my kids are teens 🙈 which takes way longer to achieve my lewks/but it’s so Fun 🤩

i struggled with my style , hormones and weight for so long. I believe we are the same age, because i recognized all those styles. It was all a growing process. At one point I was obsessed with Gwen Stefani, but tragic kingdom Gwen and the album after. Then i got into Deftones and Tool and was really into the alternative kind of boho and a little preppy. It wasnt until like 2018 that i really started honing in on who i was. Our thirties go figure. I also go so inspired by Beth in an older video she made when she was pregnant. I loved this video and your style inspires me, thank you for sharing.

I am amazed to find someone with such a similar style evolution! Down to the painted shoes (mine were Converse), thrifting, wearing brown mens Dickies, Josie and punk rock (Blink 182) influence AND I also made a patchwork skirt - out of fabric samples - that I was sooo proud of! I am the exact same age as you - my freshman year was 2000 and I grew up in San Francisco. Absolutely loved this video and feeling like I found a kindred spirit!

Happy New Year! I love your style evolution. I think you look your best in 60's style. Suits you so well! That is my favorite decade for fashion and I am so inspired from those years! You also looked great with super short hair, which is so hard to pull off. I think the mid to late 2000's were very weird for fashion on many levels and I really hate the way I dressed back then for some reason. I don't know if I have many photos of those years though. One of my favorite looks of yours from 2020 was a white, either linen or cotton...jumper? dress? I can't remember, but I was so envious of you for finding it! I really enjoyed your comment about your "insides" finally showing up on the "outside" and how addicting that is. I am 65 and am experiencing that for the first time in my life. I can only do it through thrifting, because what I like either is crazy expensive or not available at all. I don't even remember the last item I bought in a regular store. Love this video! Omg it’s a magical story!!!! I saw Kurt vile play in Fresno at a really tiny venue. Could have reached out and touched him during his set if I wanted to. I don’t think many people really knew his music there because apparently, he was saving Baby’s Arms for the encore (he told me this), and when no one encored, him he just left the stage. I was way too shy to talk to him but my friends somehow got me to go in the back of the venue, and I started talking to him, saying I wished he would’ve played Baby’s Arms. Then he told me he would play it for me if I went to the after-party. So my friends and I went to the after-party where I got to hang with him, and we took this photo together. Before I left, he got his guitar out and took me and my friends upstairs to a quiet room, and played Baby’s Arms for me on his guitar. It was one of the most surreal moments in my life. Thanks for being as excited as I was about this! Haha!
