wow dude! thanks for sharing your journey, definitely inspiring. I feel like these types of e-commerce businesses have become very popular over the past couple of years. Would you say that your success with the store, besides your attention to detail and leadership, might be also attributed to the time in which you opened the business? I feel like this market is a bit saturated and difficult to get the foot in the door. I think you may have started your business at the perfect time and have built a loyal following, but for someone starting out, it just feels like a small fish in an ocean. thanks for always providing such great inspiration and clarity!
@OliurOnline3 жыл бұрын
I’ve never started a business and thought “hmmm it may be too saturated” because I knew I wanted to do something different. I don’t have any original products, bags, watches and other products on my store have been around for longer than I have lived. I’m making them in the style I want.

Hey Oliur! I'm 18, and I want to get started with building my wealth early. I recently began investing a portion of my life savings and want to start a Shopify store of sorts; however, the e-commerce world always seems to be changing. I was just curious if you have any advice as to where I could get started.
@gauseb3 жыл бұрын
Best place to get started is to find a niche that you're passionate about and make a plan then get to work
@godwin_njoroge3 жыл бұрын
Hey Zafir, hats off to you for starting so early! This is something most of us wish we realized much earlier. What Gauthier said here is a fantastic place to start. The only thing I'd add is to make sure that what you're passionate about relates in some way with what the world needs, or that it solves a problem. Once that's in place, then build an audience around it by creating value and first giving it away for free. Once all that is done, make the products for this audience, then sell them on your e-commerce store.
@merithaligeon1722 жыл бұрын
for me the left out journey between ordering your samples and the 20k per month is what i would wanna know. Also you say its a side hustle. Than my question is, what did you actually do after you got the right manufacturer? did you do all the shipping and client contact? Or did you only focus on the marketing and optimisation?

Can you name any good "outside agencies to check products"? I'm seriously looking into this for myself and think having a secondary company check the quality before they ship to you is a great idea

What would your advice be to those who don't have a following but are keen to open their own store?
@godwin_njoroge3 жыл бұрын
Hey JP, this is a fantastic question. I'm learning this myself right now. There are 2 options here. First, build the business then find the audience for it. This is really tough and ends up being double the work. Or 2, first identify what you're passionate about, and build an audience around it, then make the store with that audience already existing. In both options, what you realize is you need an audience. And the second option, though it may take longer, is more fail-proof coz you already know what your people want so you just make it for them. I hope this helps. All the best 👊🏾
