Keyboard is fine. Just need to set the "Highspeed Steering Ratio" to 004 from the default 010, in the options menu. And you'll have more control over the car, plus can take turns faster or correct mistakes faster. Smallest end gear 4.6-ish for good acceleration (no top speed needed in the rally, just a good average speed) and idle air/fuel mixture to 13.2 and you're good to go for gold. And you don't need no weight reduction. It doesn't help. If anything, it makes things worse. I did 5:33.66 with a 360 noscope, off the track spin included. So keyboard is fine, although it is much-much easier with a wheel.

hey speirs. go into control settings and turn down both of the sliders for steering non-linearity and high speed steering rate down to 7 or 6. that will stop the car from pulling you off the road when your turning. trust me. it makes driving so much better.

hey spiers, go to the car settings menu and turn your speed turning bar setting to 0 ut will cause your car to turn on a dime and not have to wait for the slow movement of your cars stearing wheel to straiten out therefor you car will turn a hell if alot better, i did that and ran a 5.30 in the rally
