Wow, this was deeply moving. Your strength is hard for me to wrap my head around. Youve done such hard work & shifted so much, thank you for choosing to respect yourself. Quite an inspiration. White Buffalo Calf Women says "the path to healing this type of trauma is the path of self sovereignty", and I see that in your story. Will try to keep working on mine despite feeling so weak. Hi. I was a victim of rape when I was young and my little brother also died. This week i have one year sober and am hoping I can be a source of strength and hope to myself and to my daughter and to the people I see each day in my neighborhood in Brooklyn. Thank you for sharing your story with me.

what a despicable human being to take away your faith in people like that.. I'm so glad that you were able to get justice and have found your strength again. There is some very important info in here about feeling your feelings.. thank you and all the very best as you move forward. And no you were NOT at fault for ANYTHING! Agreeing to drive someone home who had just helped you out is something a great majority of women would do.. myself included. It's just a sad world that this becomes a mistake.
