I was apparently silent. I didn’t cry, I just looked around everywhere like I couldn’t believe where I was. I was also not much of a crier the entirety of my infancy, apparently. Unless my mother was away. Then I would scream incessantly. Anyone that was tasked with watching me (father, grandma) said the difference in my personality was night and day if my mom wasn’t in proximity. To the point where she really couldn’t even go to the store down the block for 15 minutes. I often wonder if that had anything to do with my mother’s mental state while pregnant with me, as well as my traumatic birth.
