I'm not sure if you've gotten a new Morino Tamagotchi since I'm commenting SUPER later, but there's a way to remove battery acid from your tamagotchi. I tried it with my Tamagotchi P's and it works like a charm :D All you need is about a tablespoon of baking soda and a little bit of water to make a sort of "paste" then you use a Q-tip and swab the paste wherever the corrosion is. Then you take a damp cloth and wipe it all away, let your tama sit to dry for 5 minutes and you have yourself a working Tamagotchi :)

I have the same black Tamago as you do, except it now has a royal blue clear faceplate. I painted it with glass paint (for stained glass), and don't use paper faceplates with it. It was a disappointment though; you have to get more toppers to do more things. Luckily, I found a bunch of them at Tuesday Morning (love that store) for cheap, and got all the different ones that they had.

Sorry to hear that your Dinkie Dino's and Penguins don't work 😢 When I got mine, I replaced the batteries with new ones but both the Dino and Penguin just didn't switch on. Then I realised that one of the batteries (the right one), needs to be face down instead. After adjusting the batteries, both my Dino and Penguin worked fine! Not sure if you have the same issue though 😅

I have several vpets that the batteries have to be put in that way too. Sometimes if you don't have instructions, you have to experiment a little. My Hittoriko came without instructions, and it was the same way. Put batteries in, didn't work. Switched the polarity on them, worked fine. I was about to leave the seller a bad feedback because they said it worked, but they failed to say how the batteries needed to be put in. All good though, and I left positive feedback.

My dinkie is the aqua one, and it works fine. Mine is the Rakuraku Dinokun; so Japanese language, which I don't understand, but still fun.

I got it off eBay a looooooong time ago. It was about $80. They are harder to come by so when I found out they made an English version I immediately started looking for one. It's probably been a few years since I got it.

Oh I know! Some of them get quite pricey! I've just about gotten to the point where I've gotten all the cheaper ones and I'm just looking for good deals on the super expensive, rare ones. Just keep looking back on eBay and you'll come across ones that are cheaper. I've found ones that should be super expensive that are dirt cheap because the seller didn't really know what they had. It's just a waiting game.

My IDLe is a blue one, and I retired it. They're so hard to come by, and I got it a long time ago also. I paid $48 dollars for mine, and bought a used Japanese IDL to replace it (a purple one). I also have a blue Japanese IDL, and the English and Japanese versions connected just fine.
