Red ink allergies are a myth. Cheap chinese inks cause problems and infections due to iron giving the ink it's color, and other bad practices. This tattoo was jacked from the beginning, he didn't know how to pack color so he kept hitting it again, and the entire thing fell out and got infected (could be from the lack of sanitation, or just poor aftercare).@@RicoRicalde-bh2vd

You make a good point about the ink though, many people don't realize there's great ink and there's cheap knock off unsafe ink. Personally I use Kuro Sumi ink and have had great results where my first 2 tattoos got infected the first was my fault, the second I'm 99% sure was the ink. Switched to good ink ( kuro sumi) no problems since.

Allergies don’t cause that greenish pus and crusty like film like it does in this video. That is caused by an unhealthy overgrowth of bacteria. The tattoo was done in VERY unsanitary conditions, and I’m hoping this person didn’t contract anything worse. Staph and MRSA will destroy skin and it’s incredibly painful. It can even cause sepsis if left untreated.

I’ve done tattoos before when I first started to get into tattoos, but I’ve always went by the rule book when it comes to being clean, using the correct ink, tattoo machines, the amount of power, and everything else that’ll make the experience better. A LOT of people are allergic to red inks! It’s not a well know fact but it happens quite often. Tattoo artist really need to verbalize this disclaimer to clients who have never had red ink. Sorry this happened. -Edit: I’m not making any claims that the ink color absolutely caused this. It just looks a great deal like acute ink rejection, which can easily cooccur with various types of infection. This whole tattoo situation is definitely a problem waiting to happen. 💕♥️

This happened because the artist was not wearing gloves and he was touching the tattoo with his dirty fingernail, that's why the infection happened and it was also the customer's fault that he applied mosturaiger in excess. Everyone is ignoring the fact the reaction was literally bound by the edges of the tattoo. This is a REACTION, infection SPREADS through the skin because it is caused by bacteria that GROWS through MULTIPLYING. Bacteria wouldn't stop at the edge of the tattoo, it would spread past it. Try learning something about medical issues before going on the internet and spreading your ignorance to everyone else. This is called tattoo rejection, when the skin reacts to a foreign body (ink) within the skin and pushes it out. The same as piercing migration. The persons skin reacted to the coloured ink. This is why once it healed, the black ink is still there.

I’ve seen this on other poorly done tattoos. As a tattoo artist of 15yrs... I will say, this is both the artist & the collectors fault. I guarantee neither took part in any proper sanitary actions. & no its not staph infection. Just an infection. Im not discounting the artist not wearing gloves but.. more than likely it was the collectors fault. Out of the hundreds of tattoos I've done.. I've only had one friend get actual staph. It was because he slept on a nasty floor the same day I gave him the tattoo. His tattoo actually got stuck to the carpet 🤦‍♂️. I know this because I went to his place to take some pictures. His roomate opened the door & he was still asleep on the floor. I BI+(HED him out so hard then took care of his infection when it occurred. I ended up saving my art 🙏. At the end there was only one spot the size of a pea that lost ink. It was one of my best tattoos & I was mad. I never gave him another one. The same with some idiot I tattooed. I gave him the aftercare sheet & read it to him. It/I specifically said no swimming or soaking the tattoo. He went swimming the same day. Then wanted me to fix his tattoo after a bunch of ink left. I told him to go f himself. Lastly similar to this video. I gave my gf a tattoo. Ive already given her a couple at this time. She forgot her bar of dial soap & ointment at home so she used liquid soap & no ointment at work. By the time she made it home, I could tell it was going to be bad. It looked very similar to this video a couple days later. Not quite as bad though. A tattoo I didn't do on a chick from work... I was supposed to.. but I was still nice & tried to help her with the after care. I told her she was using too much ointment. She was a b!+ch & acted like I was wrong. Lol.. she came back a couple days later with a thick scab across the whole thing. Lucky for her it was a quarter size tattoo. I told her she should have listened to me. 😂 she didn't loose any but it was faded af.

The body rejected the ink. Most body’s can’t absorb red ink. So there could have been allergic reaction to it. If there was any fragrance like within lotion or ointment it will occur. Best thing to do in this case is keep the area clean and dry and maybe you’ll get lucky to keep the ink.

Firstly, as an amateur TA2 artist immediately I was shocked and how dirty that fingernail is 😢and artist without gloves😢 is such a red flag of danger no go zone , secondly from experience when i look at close ups during the coloring phase (Pic 7 and 8 )- are just finished tattoo images .all over you will see blotches of skin where ink hadn't entered into the skin correctly . And if the finished completed result has alot blotches - then it tells me this artist took like 4 to 5 hours to feel it's finished because he was struggling to actually get the ink to enter into skin and that because not pushing hard enough and just scratching the top layer of skin making blood and ink all over but hardly any in the skin which would be second layer of skin is where it should be entering like (1.2 - 2.2 mm) deep depending on the skin and person's skin to reach second layer skin .this artist mostly likely had to go over and over same place after wiping and seeing a few scratch likes with little ink and blood and everytime he will go over same spot again and again until gets frustrated and pushes harder and sees some ink went ink so artist keeps going over multiple times trying to full up all the colors and most of the tattoo is ruined the first layer of skin that it's no longer thousands of little holes now holes are enterlinking making actual cuts and rips in top skin layer and doing this even with full hygiene and clean will cause major issues when healing your skin and have 50%more chance getting infected or ruining ur ta2 because of the unbelievable intense itching on all these scabs and pus sometimes develops anyway its just not good at all .and last thing is that alot of the time when someone sees after 2 to 3 weeks that there are gaps and blotchy areas need touch ups think the artist wasn't to good most times it's the customer not following the instructions given after ta2 was done and will find the blotches and gaps where made by customer wearing a tight long-sleeved shirt and not having TA2 wrapped or covered and the material of clothing will catch a corner of scab and pull it right off and the scab still holding ink and the body hasn't absorbed the nutrients as well as ink from the scab before breaking or falling off naturally....so we shouldn't always go for the artist sometimes customers lie and will even damage it to avoid paying with intentions get a friend to do quick touch up make it good again 😅😅

I'll just ignore the lack of gloves. This looks like red ink allergy which is pretty common. I'm an apprentice, I've seen this a lot. Whenever a client walks in and wants a coloured tattoo I check if they've ever had coloured tattoos before and if they did I ask how their body reacted to it. A lot of people have allergies to different tattoo pigments that's why it's important to do test swatches first before getting the real deal. Test swatches are basically very very tiny tattoos with every colour that's in the bigger tattoo they want. Could be other things too tho, like an infection from reusing needles(yes this is a thing, a lot of garage tattoo "artists" do this) or ftom having very nasty hands somehow. I mean prison tattoos are dirty af and still turn out better than this lol.

Never ever get tattood if the “artist” isn’t wearing gloves. But if you know how to colour a tattoo you’ll know that if done incorrectly it’ll over work the skin and basically just chew it up. Obviously you wouldn’t want to go to a person who doesn’t wear gloves but you can see in the last photo of it before it starts healing that the guys just hacked him to bits trying to saturate the tattoo with colour using the wrong technique.

This happens when the tattoo artist goes to deep in the skin and damages, the tissue severely causing trauma. I have one tattoo on the back of my neck in part of the tattoo leaked out because he went so deep. I got an infection and he went five layers too deep in my skin.
