I've had a couple. Regrettably, I was a pain in the ass. One, who loved to ignore it when I got bullied, used to tell me "Words don't hurt." I told her, "Thanks, you useless f*-ing c*." We ended up in the principal's office discussing how "words don't hurt" except when it's her, apparently. Upshot--she was forced to do her job, I got off scot-free. Every time she moved to retaliate, I just smiled and asked if she wanted to visit the principal's office again. I was...a hellish little fifth grader, actually, having been raised by two narcissists.

Best solution? Find a way to record them without their knowledge (and make copies in case "something" ever happens to the original) and then play the recording for those in charge of the school....or if *they* won't listen or act on it, take it to the police and/or a reporter to *force* the school to act, even if only so that they can save face. Use the teacher's own words against them.

Teachers being strict and/or jerks, that's completely fine, if they're just trying to help their students succeed. The problem comes when the teacher is a jerk for the sake of being a jerk. And assaulting a minor? I don't care what the repercussions would be, if one of my teachers slapped me, I'd hit them with the hardest punch I could muster. If one of my teachers were to hit anyone in any of my classes, I'd be among the first to throw hands. I suppose an explanation is justified. The schools I went to were kinda on the rougher side, and in the United States of America, so just overall most schools here seem to be on the rougher side. Mine were rougher than the average, but not so rough that everyone had a record. I only got beaten up once, but I was very cautious after that.

Part 1: If a teacher is going to be petty enough to dock points for "bad behavior," she better be prepared to lose some teeth before she retires. At least one student isn't going to put up with her rules, and they're going to earn that bad behavior charge. Honestly this has to be the single most epically beautiful story of karmic justice I've ever heard. When ya spend your whole life hurting people simply because you think it's fun & makes you feel important, you WILL pay for it one way another; sell your soul to evil... it will come back to collect. She did it all to herself. Everything that happened was the price she paid for being a monster & deserves no sympathy for it.

There are many who would say that the foreseeable consequences of one's own actions are not karma. The fact is, the definition of karma varies from person to person. Many believe it to be any case of "what goes around comes around", including foreseeable consequences to one's own actions. Some consider the definition of karma to include only the original version used in Hinduism, where the consequences of a person's actions in their current life affect what they become in their next life. My personal view on the matter is that karma includes the original Hindu definition, as well as cases where a person's actions in their current life are visited upon them later in that same life, but with _no_ obvious connection to their actions. The teacher getting shut out of Teachers' Day, the revenge against her by the students she mistreated, the consequences of her striking the OP, and no one visiting her on her deathbed... by my definition, those are not karma, as those were all foreseeable consequences of her behavior. But there is one thing that happened to her that could be considered karma: her diagnosis with stage 3 cancer after she'd been mistreating (and miseducating) students for decades. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but it could definitely be seen as the universe deciding she needed to get some punishment for what she'd gotten away with before.

@@MarsJenkar I'm not gonna go through all that babble just to be told something I already know. However I also wasn't gonna drone on about the complexities of Karma. I only wanted to comment on the story, not explain Karma to people because its unrelated. I'm perfectly aware that karma is far more complex than the "what goes around comes around" idea but the average idiot is not. So comments must be stated in a way the average populus can understand. Ya trackin' now?

After hearing the story, I would have said he was kind of? But after seeing a teacher literally slapping ONE student because they spread a piece of information to EVERYBODY in the school, and I would literally scream my fricking balls off if that happened to me. Indoctrination by school can be painful, physically.

The school I go to has the same problem where all the teachers can do whatever they want, they can hit us, stop teaching, make us ask permission for everything like drinking water, or even ask them questions about the subject. They also frequently ask us to donate small amounts of money to the school(which we cannot refuse) because the teachers aren't getting paid enough(even though they treat us like shit). I mean isn't it the school's duty to pay the teachers? I am lucky enough to be from a pretty good family but many parents struggle to pay the school fees and still, they make us pay for their employees.

MY chemistry teacher tried to prevent me from graduating only because she didn't like me, it wasn't until my mom called and threatened to report the school to the ministry of Education that they allowed me to do the make up test and she still took enough points away so I could BARELY graduate. They actually took my mother seriously as she had never made a peep before about my bullying but she was a former teacher in that school and had either been classmates with or taught most of the officials of the Ministry, and their children by that time. The messed up thing is that this woman was so open about the fact that she docked points to mess with me and stop me from graduating to the point everyone expected me to fail Chem. I was like "Math, I get, not Chemistry" Because I am actually good in Physics and Chemistry, just ticked off a terrible teacher.

Fellow teacher here. Look, we're human. We make mistakes all the time. Maybe we are distracted. Maybe we haven't had enough coffee. Maybe it's a Tuesday. Who cares? My master teacher taught me to own those mistakes - your kids'll respect you more and it's a learning experience. I took it to heart and I use it as a teaching moment. Plus, hey. In the end she brought it on herself. I think it's safe to assume that in the previous years students wished her well on teacher's Day out of fear, not because they liked her and op's psychological attacks on her gave other students the courage to show how they really felt.

It looks like the teacher thought she was avenging a family rejection that OP, his father, and his brother didn't even know had happened. Hitting a student is never the correct response; hitting hard enough to draw blood is an act of vicious spite. That woman should never have gone into teaching. She wasn't emotionally equipped for it, she wasn't mentally ready to deal with kids, and she just plain wasn't GOOD at it. She didn't appear to grasp that teachers are there to impart knowledge, to share facts, and to be sure that the students are grasping the content of the text books, not be be an absolute tyrant whose standard of discipline is somewhere between prison camp guard and Mafia enforcer. She instilled such hatred in OP that he had no sympathy when she was found to have cancer. How horrible does a person have to be when they have affected that many lives, and still no one cares when they die?

Don’t feel bad for her at all. Everything that happened was a result of her own actions. If she was a better person (and teacher) it would have been different. She would have had kids visit her on teachers day and the love and respect of her students and family. It’s true that unfortunate/bad things happen in life; but the majority of them happen as a result of our own misdeeds.

In my opinion the Revenge was the revenge the fact that she had cancer after the fact you had no control over her nasty ways were responsible for why nobody was around her when she passed she brung that on herself it was evident by the fact that even her own nephew never came around her it's a shame for somebody to end life that way but ultimately that part wasn't your fault anyway

If I was a student and knew where the teacher lived, I would have made fun of her and ridiculed her at her house with a song that goes like this "ahem" 🎶"ha ha haha ha, you are nothing but a stupid, idiotic, good for nothing, motherf***ing b**ch, who has no friends or family to love you or support you, who's nothing but a pathetic waste of human trash because you are nothing but awful and a terrible, rotten and selfish person who doesn't deserve any friends because of the way you were born with such an awful and hideous personality and everyone will just celebrate your passing because they'll no longer have to hear you or see around on this planet anymore"!🎶 Gotta hit narcissists where it hurts at times to get that message through!

That teacher seemed to be straight out cruel but especially cruel to OP and his family. Even her own family hated her. Students not doing anything for her on teacher’s day had a LOT to do with her. If she had been a really good teacher who only had problems with a couple students that plan would have never worked. OP wasn’t intending for it to be for every student… just his class / year of students. That speaks volumes about her. How she responded caused her own downfall. No one could have expected that.

It's stunning to think about how there are some genuinely evil teachers like this out there who join the system not because they love kids and want to see them succeed, but because they hate kids and want to see them fail. Fortunately, this one at least got her comeuppance, but there are so many others out there who don't because their coworkers fear them or fear not being able to find an adequate replacement.

Honestly, I think not a jerk. It is one thing to have a teacher who might not be a good fit, or do that thing that made you resent them. It is ANOTHER thing to have a teacher who bullies even the hardworking kids on purpose, gets mad when they want to do science experiments on their summer break (that is the OPPOSITE thing a teacher should be doing), and expects everyone to kneel to her like a queen to even have a chance at a good grade. Not to mention how long her reign went on. If you have your DAD giving you advice about an awful teacher, you know the teacher had it coming. I feel that no amount of injuries or cancer can justify the emotional pain and depression this lady brought over years and years.
