First dear spoby fan don't "buy" into the interview! the interview was about 7A and we all know toby in 703 will be proposing to yvonne. in 707 the scene where spoby were "contemplate" on their past or what the future will be if... that's what made troian teary bc they reminisce on spoby journey over the years. she even said in that interview that it wasn't the scene itself or it context that made her cry it was the fact that this show is coming to an end and keegan in the show was a great part in her life. keep in mind 7b hasn't been writen yet.. so i have hope! and you'll know what they say about hope ;)

+B25Revi I ship Spoby 100%, I've shipped it since before it was even a thing. I remember watching that first Spoby scene where she walks up to his porch and their interaction and chemistry was there since the beginning. I remember yelling "I SHIP THEM" to my little sister when the scene finished. Later on in the show the love I had for them kept growing and growing, then one day it completely stopped. They are two completely different people, and like Troian said they're never really far from a fight. Their relationship in season 4 was nothing but arguing and fighting. Season 5 he became a cop and that completely fucked up their relationship. They became distant, and she cheated on him for crying out loud. Season 6a was a little better then 6b came and fucked it up again. They spent 5 years without contact and they met new people. Toby found someone who he seems happy with and Spencer's probably not done slutting it up.

I get that they've been through hell and back, and I get that in some situations that builds up a relationship but it other situations it just tears it down.

true! but it wasn't 5 years of separation, the pregnancy scare was on year 2 of college. the beauty of spby is that he is her serenity without him she's lost! (argue with that :D lol). to take time a part when you grow apart or some major stuff happen to see if you can work it out is o.k. yes he found someone else to love she at the end of the day want him to be happy... but can he? when she's around him? i bet you that in 720 we'll get a lame scene "a few years later" and you'll see toby and spencer in a house (that he probably built) and with a kid bc that was so foreshadowing ;) look the writers are not that creative! and i doubt toby will cheat on yvonne or break up with her (not in his character!) BUT if yvonne will break up with him it's fair game! like lindsay/lucas/peyton from oth... only here in pll you won't hear spencer declared her love (not in her character! she want him happy)... but yvonne will sense the strong bond and she don't wanna be second choice.
