We used prep scholar too and actually thought that it was very good for the price. Many other programs cost so much more (i.e. Princeton Review, Kaplan, etc.). My daughter was able to get a 1460 after taking Prep Scholar. I liked how the program personalized the program for each student.

Is there any reason why you chose the SAT over the ACT? Just curious.

No one reason. Both tests are very similar and colleges will usually take either one.
