Nice startup! I just got my 23 year old trane with missing rings on the heat exchanger, like 5 tiny cracks. It has been replaced with a goodman, and I have videos of both of the furnaces starting up too.

Thanks! Cool.

Don't worry. If the technician thought something needed changing, he would have done it last year.

Yep. As said in the description, the combustion test readings were off but not dangerous.

You should do another startup like this, but turn the humidifier on and see if the flames do the same thing they did last year
@dilchproductions Жыл бұрын
I don't think it will to be honest. The humidifier is completely separated from the flames so I don't see how it could affect it. Plus, the flames still do it a little bit with it off.
@StuffStudier Жыл бұрын
@@dilchproductions Well the vent might be blowing humid air and might be barely reaching the flames and the water in the air might affect its burning, but that’s a strange issue
@dilchproductions Жыл бұрын
I think it's just because of its age. These ICP furnaces commonly had this problem
@StuffStudier4 ай бұрын
This year, you should start it up and leave the camera at the burners and turn the humidifier on, and see if the flame changes when it’s on
@dilchproductions4 ай бұрын
I doubt it's the humidifier, but I could try that
@StuffStudier4 ай бұрын
@@dilchproductions I would try that, so we can find out. I feel like it is, maybe the vent by it starts blowing humid and wetter air out so it messes with the air around the flames, or maybe when the heat exchanger fully expands in a heating cycle some air gets in around the sides and messes with the burning

Nice to see it still chugging along, however those flames do look a bit unhealthy (not as bad as the flames in my furnace lol). Just to be safe, I would get that furnace inspected this year again and maybe get some fresh batteries for the CO alarms.
@dilchproductions Жыл бұрын
Yep. I will try to have it inspected again sometime this year, and as far as I know my CO alarms are fine. Thanks for watching!

I have a 2004 tempstar furnace, it’s still runs decent. Did you have to replace anything over the years on your furnace?
@dilchproductions11 ай бұрын
We haven't had to replace anything on it since we've lived here. I do know that the gas valve was replaced in 2003.
@jorbjorb111 ай бұрын
@@dilchproductions I hope my tempstar keeps going for a long time. We’re forced to install high efficiency furnaces in Canada now which I don’t want.
@dilchproductions11 ай бұрын
Dang. It should last a while longer. It is 20 years old this year though, so you might want to consider getting it inspected just to make sure it is safe.

I’m getting the glow but no flames and the house is still cold any suggestions on how to fix that?
@dilchproductions Жыл бұрын
That could be a few different things. Sounds like the igniter is going but the gas is not. It could be a bad gas valve not opening and letting the gas through, or it could be the control board not sending power to the gas valve. There could also be a loose connection somewhere. I'd recommend calling a professional to take a look at it.
@xii-king-xii6514 Жыл бұрын
The gas valve wasn’t turned the correct way now it’s heating up the house it turns on and off in one minute intervals does yours do that let me Know asap so I’m if I need it to get checked out
@dilchproductions Жыл бұрын
The flames are supposed to stay on until the call for heat from the thermostat goes away. If it keeps turning off and on while there's still a call for heat then there's still an issue.

I want to hear your furnace exhaust pipe running from outdoor
@dilchproductions Жыл бұрын
The exhaust pipe is located on the roof, so that would be hard.
