I was moved by your testimony! No secret why you are named Grace! I am glad to be on this channel. My father was an alcoholic as well causing my brothers and Mom a turbulent family life. She couldnt leave until i left at 18. So i understand some of what you have gone through. I am 59 married the 2nd time with 5 kids and 9 grandkids 😊 we are very blessed. I love Jesus and trust him with my life. My biggest issue is kicking a 🌽 addiction so pray i can continue to do that. Welcome to You Tube! So glad you are here. Thank you for the inspiration. It is so encouraging to see more and more people my age sharing their testimonies on KZbin, praise God for giving us the means to be able to share the good He has done in our lives!! Your testimony is so important because so many people are in a similar boat. Alcoholism is such a horrible beast and it runs rampant in our current society, as with suicide, but God is above it. He is able to redeem and restore anyone who is struggling, and I'm praying for healing for the people in my own life who are battling it. The gospel is that Jesus Christ, The Son of God, and God made flesh; died for all our sins crucified, he shed his precious blood as a perfect payment for sin, he was buried, and he rose again on the third day to save us from the wages of sin, which is death. The words that I speak unto you are Spirit and they are life (John 6:63). We walk in the Spirit by abiding in Jesus' words. (John 8:31-32) Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh, so you cannot do the things that you would. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. (Galatians 5:16-18)

Absolutely nobody has ever been saved by giving their life to Christ. You don't receive a gift by giving anything for it. That is bartering your life for salvation and is a Satanic counterfeit gospel message. We are saved because He gave His life for us and we trust Him alone for salvation. This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
