But how do we heal from hurts because even after years, you still find out that is still there 🤷

What works for me is genuinely surrendering it to God. How? Humble yourself before Him and admit: God I’ve tried doing this on my own, I tried to forgive and heal, but I can’t do it by myself anymore. It hurts, every time I think about this situation (list whatever it is) or these people (list them as well), I’m angry, sad, resentful. I’m sorry for trying to do it on my own, I realize I can’t. I need you Father, please help me, heal me, bring me the comfort only You can bring. This is an example, but my point is, God is our dad. The dad who doesn’t judge, who doesn’t get offended, who already knows what we’re doing through and most importantly who LOVES us. Invite Him into your pain, He’ll heal all the wounds without you even realizing. I don’t know if you still needed this, but if yes, I pray this helps
