I have had/have two: an orange one and my current one, an old First Alert one. It was for cheap, and it was extremely rare in my country! It was extremely loud, too. Very good price, but I don't think I'd ever use one unless I need to. Very nice device.

There should be a fail safe for accidental triggering. It’s bound to happen. Given its db rating it should have the same standard and mace cans.

The thing that I like about the cheap one is that you’re unlikely to lose both parts of the alarm when activated, because both parts have a loop on them. I can see that if in a situation where it needs to be used, one part would get dropped and lost if using other models.

If you mean the old horns (I think mechanical horns, the vibrating ones) {Or the projector horn ones} probably not cause most are discontinued from age but you can definitely still find some online, maybe even from actual companies.

That is louder than all sirens including the Chrysler, although maybe some of them do reach 140dB at 100 feet if they’re over sped. A noise that loud would definitely rupture your eardrums if you get exposed to it for a while without hearing protection. That is as loud as a rocket launch or standing 50 feet in front of an ACA P-50 on ground level

I'm not really a fan of these types of alarms. I do not think the siren is actually 140 DBs. But like he said in the video, it's personal preference.

It's just the loudness of the speaker with a microphone touching it, at 1 feet away the sound drops very drastically like to around 110 dB

according to japan: *YES* it is safe, in fact it is more safer than a fire alarm speaker/horn strobe

But it may not be safe to your hearing because it's very loud and your ears may hurt after using it which is just like a fire alarm enthusiast testing a very loud alarm and then suddenly their ears hurt
