Yes I am getting one as I like to go for a jog in the park next to me and then onto a woodland conservation area. Sometimes I've been the only person walking / running through so I get a bit nervous. Pepper spray is illegal in the UK so this is great and very versatile, I like your ideas.. Thank you so much for this.

I go on walks that sometimes results in returning home in the dark (Especially as Autumn and Winter approach), my elderly neighbour just gifted me one of these to look out for me. It's so loud and should hopefully alert someone if anything were to happen..my cat did not approve of the test run and neither did my ears😅😳.

Great idea, but I imagine the battery changing must be a pain in the butt. Do you need special batteries and a special screwdriver to open it?

Thanks for watching and the comment. Never changed the battery. It looks like it is made to be disposable. To be honest I think it would just be cheaper to buy a new one. No screws in it. You may be able to pry it apart. Thanks for the comment and for watching.

No they're usually usb rechargeable. Or at least the one I have is. Edit: this one is different to the one I have. There are several on Amazon, wish, Ali etc all for around 10-15 bucks and they're rechargeable via usb. I have two from different brands.

@@SurvivalonaBudgetMadeEasy just had a look there & probably will buy it. did the alarm not go off when you pulled the tab? my issue was : when i pulled the tab the alarm went off with the pin still in so i kept putting it in and out and it finally went off but with the pin outside of the alarm. but obviously i needed it in the alarm to be able to pull it and when i inserted it , it went off again and wouldn’t go off until i put the tab back in. so yeah , did you not have any issues with pulling the tab ?

Thanks for the demonstration but you should have held it by the key chain to evaluate the strength of the chain when the string is pulled. Your demonstration requires both hands to be free. The area I live in is actually relatively safe compared to the rest of the country and being 17 I couldn't move anyway. Many people here are homophobic but they usually aren't rude about it

Omg I just experienced how loud this alarm is! Tried moving my sons gf car real quick, they’re sleep, as soon as I opened her car door that alarm goes off, so I’m thinking it’s her car, now I’m stuck in her small ass car, door handle broke, I can’t get out, tried calling everyone in the house they’re all asleep! My ears are bleeding and my neighborhood is so quiet with old folks, embarrassed and trying to roll her window down to let me out of the car, window doesn’t want to go down, it’s a hoopty, I can’t crawl out any other way because she literally just packed all her stuff in her car so I’m STUCK with that alarm going off! I realize it’s the keychain, so I tried pushing that big button then find out it’s not a button 😂😩😩 Hers had a little button on the side but pushing it did nothing. Long story short, I got it to kinda stop whistling and finally got outta the car and yelled at everyone for not coming to my rescue once I got in the house 😅 Those things are LOUD my ears still hurt an hour later.
