I purchased a classic flap a few weeks before the price increase. It will be my one and only. Black caviar with silver hardware. No regrets! I don’t think it will be easy to make money on reselling it- but I don’t care because I plan to keep in forever and I had such a fun evening with my hubby buying it at our local NM boutique. I’m glad to hear your “unpopular” opinion! I agree! I am trying not to let all the other Chanel hating videos bring me down. I have 2 WOCs as well, I don’t feel the need to buy any more Chanel in the future.

Kate spade is my favorite brand. I use them everyday and I’m so hard on them. I frequently switch them out every season but I rotate the same few pieces and everyone asks if they are “new” and I’m like. I’ve had this since I was 16 and regularly use this. Hahaha. Glad you are back Stella!❤

Oh Stella I usually appreciate your enthusiasm for luxury. But in this one I disagree. Not worth it as they have not improved the bags, nor are they even constructed by hand. The pre-loved markets have increased their chanel prices as well. If you are buying a bag as an investment there may be wiser ways to earn a profit. And there’s very little exclusivity these days wearing a Chanel bag. Go out in any city and you’ll see them everywhere.

It’s easy to say it’s not worth it when one has it already. I had a medium, 2.55 224 and WOC and still wanted a jumbo. I have wanted it since it was 6800. Decided it was too expensive & moved on. Still wanted it years later and ended up paying $9500 for it. I enjoy the bags. They’re too expensive and I won’t be buying anymore but it’s because I’ve already got some Chanel. Great video! I agree with many of your points in this video. There are too many classic flaps on the preloved market. Chanel is trying to bring back the exclusivity to the brand. I ❤ Chanel! I will always ❤ the fashion house. Now, there are concerns about quality control with Chanel (and LV), but I think the brand name makes a statement and automatically elevates any look.

I think this is exactly what Chanel expected to accomplish when they began this ridiculously fast tracked price increase. They want to be in line with Hermes with creating a type of exclusivity that ppl will always desire to be a part of. It’s not just about the price but more about making you believe that you must have these things no matter the price. Because once the price is a non factor, they’ve got you for life. I do not agree that these bags are worth the price or the hype anymore. I think that we the ppl need to wake up and realize that this world has us trapped in a mental matrix. We are being controlled in ways that are unsustainable and unhealthy for our longevity as a country and a ppl. If we do not stop this insanity of overconsumption and overspending we will all find ourselves holding our overpriced and useless Chanel handbags in a world that has fallen…What value would they have then?

@annporter7359 I’m not just referring to Chanel handbags. I just referenced them given the examples used in this vlog. It could be any luxury bag. Our over consumption as a nation, in my opinion, has gotten way out of control. That includes the cheapest of things, such as “Temu” hauls of random unnecessary useless items that really no one needs. But really my point is more so that we are being conditioned to think that we need these things whether they are expensive or cheap. And yes, I am very aware that we don’t need luxury bags, they are just things that we love and make us happy. But I do think that there are powers that be, behind the scenes that are making us want these things even more than we should.(That’s really the point that I’m trying to make here.) You have to know that much of this is just downright corporate greed. These bags do not need to cost this much and we truly don’t need that many of them( or some may say any of them) to be happy. I’m speaking more to the mind control of it all. It’s not about the bags because trust me, I love my luxury bags and am just as guilty as the next luxury purse enthusiast for the over consumption of them…Hope that explains things a little better.
