Well there are plenty of Traditionalist African Priests that would love to be assigned to Germany and since Angela Merkel loves to take in 3rd worldsrs fill Germany with a whole bunch of Traditionalist Catholic African Priests. There’s also some difficulty about property. I can’t say I understand it exactly, but I’ve heard that the German bishops would not be likely to vacate the cathedrals. A parallel church would be created and that schism would likely never be healed. I agree with you that it has to happen, but I also agree with Rob that it’s an incredibly complex situation and that we should be patient.

This might interest you. This is an excerpt from a letter from Pope Francis, dated Nov 10, 2023. This is written in response to a letter from three German lay women. “Your concerns regarding the current developments within the Church in Germany have reached me, and I share your concerns. There are indeed numerous steps being taken by significant segments of this local Church that threaten to steer it increasingly away from the universal Church's common path. This doubtlessly includes the establishment of the synodal committee you referenced. This committee aims to set up a consultative and decision-making body. However, as outlined in the corresponding resolution, its proposed structure is not in alignment with the sacramental structure of the Catholic Church. Consequently, its formation was forbidden by the Holy See in a letter dated Jan. 16, 2023, which received my specific endorsement.” I think the Holy Father is on it.

Let's always remember that the church is a divine institution and the magisterium holds the official, traditional teachings of the church. This cannot change. I trust in the guidance and messiness (messy inspirations) that the Holy Spirit is guiding the church. God meets us where we are and Jesus wants us all saved, not just some. He prayed that we would all be one with God. I know that I was a prodigal daughter for many years before a true conversion took place for me. Thank God for his grace!!!I started praying the rosary and she led me to the divine mercy of Jesus. Stay the course with the church and keep praying. That is our job as God's people.

Happy to have had your video cross my home feed, it is good to hear from another Catholic in the layman's terms. I am not Catholic, rather I was born into the extended family of a Catholic which, if you knew my life then, you might categorize me as an honorary Catholic. I seem to attract Catholic people but perhaps it is more because I have my own line which I walk with Christ in faith and confidently. It also probably doesn't hurt that I was born into a military family where our blood spilled dates back to the civil war and across the ocean. There is much history you reminded me of in your opinion today, for which I am thankful that you took the chance to exercise your Bill of Rights without fear of reprisal as a former military man in the country we live in now; it shows you should still be proud to have defended our country. Something you said got me thinking outside the normal pattern of dialogue on these matters, and that was how you said you, and people like you, are not good at paperwork. I have a psychology degree, was a swim coach, worked in finance for years where people thought they could read the market and then like addicted gamblers postively reinforce their losses, and now I'm getting trained in medical billing/coding; I also live in the homeless community and am not receiving any military retirement pay. I've never served in the military but I did receive 2 letters of recommendation from generals to enter OCS back in 1996, if only I was willing to shoot a gun on order. Only by God will I take up a fire arm, and Lord knows this country is daring the line. What I wanted to say to you about paperwork is something I have been wondering about when it comes to making amends with our Jewish brothers and sisters for stealing their ark and marketing to the world how well we've refurbished their home. Keeping it simple, my bible taught me there were three main factions of authority in the Jewish line: Pharasees, Sadducees, Religious Teachers of the Law (the people good at the paperwork.) The former, the pharasees, were the spiritualists that used the creative side of their brain, perhaps "the dreamers" of modern day. The sadducees were the literalists, concerned primarily with the sanctity of the body, which looking at modern day not many people do have such respect for their own bodies believing a magic pill and reconstructive surgery will cure any ill. Which brings me to how our country is dying from being buried in paperwork to make both of them right with God, all of them I guess, but misses the point when we are losing children to mutilation and sexual dysphoria. Hitler knew how to get to the children, and the same is happening here but the game is in the religious teachers of the law trying to plug holes with their pointer fingers, in my opinion. I do not join the Catholic church because I think I am a better friend to you on the outside, I don't want someone or an organization speaking to Jesus for me. He died so this would no longer be required, and by God, if some man or organization tells me to disobey the cross Jesus demanded me to bear if I ever wanted to be with Him, then know, I will leave them and let them rot in their darkness for Jesus any day.

I don’t know if maybe the reason all these conservative Catholics are falling in the area of obedience is because they have forgotten what it is to work in the trenches with sinners. They evangelize beautifully but are their hands dirty from working with the poor? are their hearts broken from grieving with those who mourn? Are they torn apart when they help those struggling with suicidal thoughts? Do they see the brokenness of someone who has mutilated themselves with gender surgery? Do they hear the pain of people who wallow in despair? What should we do? Simply read theology to them and expect them to just change? It doesn’t work like that. Pope Francis still maintains a 16 hour day with 4 hours of adoration, daily mass, hears confessions, develops spiritual teachings, meets with sinners…prays constantly all while suffering from crippling pain. Of those who criticize him… who could put their spiritual lives up against that? Who? And he’s almost 87 years old. These people like to judge, imagine what more they could do for God if they stop stalking and commenting on the Pope and actually got out there and worked to save souls?!? We’ve got thousands dying every days… most maybe damned based on the writings of many saints. When did they lose the heart of a pastor? Do you know how many Catholics die without the sacraments? Most do. Is there a push to fix that? No. Instead they’re on social media and calling their friends gossiping about the latest Vatican news. That is what we are going to be judge on. Did you work in the fields? How many souls did you bring to heaven with you? Look at the comment section of all these “holy” you tubers. Full of the most vile comments about the Holy Father. That’s the fruit of their work. It’s right in your face. No one is getting saved because of what they are doing. They’re full of bunch of hot air.

Rob, we must pray for & when necessary defend the pope, but Bishop Strickland, Cardinal Burke, & others would not be making the stands they've made without grave reasons, & yes even with love for Pope Francis, his soul, the souls of the sheep, & most especially love for God. Remember that a service member is only obligated to obey lawful orders. Now, if in conscience he chooses to disobey unlawful orders, he does so knowing he will very likely face consequences, even though he may later be proved to be right. (Think about US troops who refused the C19 jab mandate on moral grounds.) Also, before dismissing the bishop's belief about instruction from the Blessed Virgin Mary, keep in mind her messages in Church-approved apparitions such as at Akita, and also Galatians 2:11, where Paul "resisted Peter to his face." Clearly, with regard to each individual involved, be it Bishop Strickland, Pope Francis, or anyone else, as you said, "we don't know what we don't know." We each must deepen our knowledge of the Faith, strive to be holy, pray for & support the Church & the Pope, & also stand up for what we know to be right. Blessings to you, and thank you for your apostolate.

Im a devout cradle Catholic in the Philippines who reveres the Pope and defends the papacy. I know too when a pope is NOT all in with the teachings of Our Lord. I pray for him but it's time we see his openness to approving homosexual behaviours and universalism. He does not want to convert non Christians to the Faith. You cannot be faithful to Jesus and not obey His commandment that all be baptized into His Church and taught His commandments. I think with all charity we should face the facts that Pope Francis is supportive of ideology that are contrary to Catholic teaching. As Catholics we must not be in denial about the bad actions of a pope. You must see the facts. You will do more harm by defending what is not acceptable.

Protestant response respectfully submitted on St. Augustine’s alleged quote “the Pope has spoken the case is closed”. The problem is that Augustine did not actually say this. Also the successor of the Pope who rejected Pelagianism reversed that decision and approved of Pelagianism so the matter was not settled. One of the most common claims made by Catholic apologists is that Augustine was a supporter of papal primacy and infallibility based on his statement that “Rome has spoken, the case is closed.” But the problem with this claim is that Augustine never said these words. What he actually said was, “The two councils sent their decrees to the Apostolic See and the decrees quickly came back. The cause is finished; would that the error were as quickly finished” (Sermon 131). Since Augustine claimed that Pelagianism was finished because the Bishop of Rome has agreed with the decisions of the councils condemning Pelagianism, it is argued that the Bishop of Rome must approve of a council in order for it to have binding authority. But the real reason why the matter of Pelagianism was finished because the Bishop of Rome gave approval to its condemnation was not because of any kind of papal primacy or infallibility, but because Rome was the last place to condemn the theology of Pelagius. Pelagius is finished because he has no church leader left who will shelter him. As the Roman Catholic scholar Klaus Schatz put it: “Both the context of this statement and its continuity with the rest of Augustine’s thought permit no interpretation other than that Rome’s verdict alone is not decisive; rather, it disposes of all doubt after all that has preceded it. This is because there remains no other ecclesiastical authority of any consequence to which the Pelagians can appeal, and in particular the very authority from which they could most readily have expected a favorable decision, namely Rome, has clearly ruled against them!” After Pope Innocent I who had condemned Pelagianism passed away, he was succeeded by Pope Zosimus who later gave approval to the theology of Pelagius. The matter was not as finished as Augustine had thought because the next pope overturned the condemnation of the previous one. Augustine did not believe that the pope was infallible by any stretch of the imagination because he opposed Pope Zosimus vigorously over his approval of the theology of Pelagius. And this would not be the last time the pope and Augustine would clash as demonstrated by the condemnation of the theology of Augustine during the Jansenist controversy. This incident with Bishop Strickland really highlights the divisions that exist within Roman Catholicism. It is sad to see. It makes it hard for Catholic apologists to point at Protestantism and decry their divisions.
@bibleman8010 Жыл бұрын
. Contrary to Protestant myth and anti-Catholicism, the Catholic Church doesn't teach that one is saved by works apart from preceding and enabling grace, but that faith and works are inseparable, as in James 1 and 2. This heresy of which Catholicism is often charged, was in fact condemned by the Catholic Church at the Second Council of Orange in 529 A.D. It is known as Pelagianism, the view that man could save himself by his own natural efforts, without the necessary supernatural grace from God. A more moderate view, Semi-Pelagianism, was likewise condemned. To continue to accuse the Catholic Church of this heresy suggests a manifest ignorance of the history of theology, as well as the clear Catholic teaching of the Council of Trent (1545-63), available for all to see. Yet the myth is strangely prevalent.😎😎 Zosimus (reigned 417-418) was approached by Caelestius, who brought a profession of faith from Pelagius for the Pope’s examination. Zosimus examined Caelestius and the profession and found nothing heretical in them. He said the African bishops’ condemnation of Pelagius and Caelestius had been hasty and instructed Africans with charges against them to appear in Rome for further investigation. This prompted outrage among the African bishops since they considered the Pelagian controversy to have been closed by Zosimus’s predecessor, Innocent I. Zosimus responded by stressing the primacy of the Roman see and by explaining to them that he had not settled the matter definitively and that he did not intend to do so without consulting them. He said that his predecessor’s decision remained in effect until he had finished investigating the matter. The bishops provided Zosimus with additional evidence against Pelagius, and the Pope condemned Pelagianism. His initial assessment had been a tentative judgment, based on partial evidence. He did not issue a definitive judgment, much less a doctrinal definition, as indicated by the fact he asked for additional evidence to be sent to Rome. The case of Zosimus thus does not touch the doctrine of papal infallibility. now go away troll😆😆the Pope has spoken the case is closed

Why be concerned with something that can never happen? When someone receives the Eucharist they are saying they accept all the Church teachings, and the Pope. If a non-believer or non-Catholic receives the Eucharist only 1 of 4 things will happen: 1. They just receive zero graces 2. Or, they get sick as scripture says. 3. Or, they die as scripture says 4. Or, they eat and drink damnation upon themselves, as scripture says. Of course God could make an exception to the above 4 scenarios.
@angelamwatts Жыл бұрын
@G-MIP Yeah, I know that would never happen, but I wonder what would happen if it did happen? Anyway, I understand why the Pope sacked Bishop Strickland . On the other hand, I can understand why the priests and bishops are upset at the Pope. He's too ambiguous in his communication, which is leading to the misinterpretation of Catholic teaching by lay people, and I'm not happy about it. I work with a guy who is openly homosexual and is for the trans people, movement, whatever you want to call it. Anyway, I overheard him talking to another coworker. He said, "Did you hear the great news? The Pope said that gay and trans people can be baptized. This is great news for the LGBT movement." This guy doesn't understand that the condition is that you must reject that lifestyle in order to be baptized and be godparents. The faith is being watered down. The Pope said something about communism too which rubbed me the wrong way. He tried to explain communism using a religious concept. Communism is evil and is the destruction of humanity. The Pope should have been clear about that but he wasn't. I was furious when I saw what he said. I'm sorry, but I can't stand Pope Francis. He is causing schism in the Catholic Church because he doesn't know how to address people using hard core Catholic teaching, which opens the door for misinterpretation from both the left and the right. Oh well...🤷♀️

@G-MIP When we "love" the pope to the point we blindly do the things that you say, then we become puppets. I'm nobody's puppet. I didn't read your comment clearly, sorry. I am not saying that the Pope shouldn't be obeyed. Bishop Strickland was wrong. However, I stand by my opinion when it comes to the way Pope Francis presents the faith. I'm not saying that he's not upholding Catholic teaching. What I am saying is that he doesn't present the faith strongly enough to where everyone understands what he is saying. Case in point, my homosexual coworker who mistakenly believes that the church is accepting of that lifestyle by welcoming gay godparents and baptism. The Pope needs to be clear that homosexuality is a grave sin and that they need to repent or face eternal damnation. Instead, the Pope said, "God loves you just the way you are." He left out the part. "God loves you just the way you are, but if you don't repent of your sin and live a life of chastity, your soul is in danger of eternity in hell."

See I much rather your approach than other KZbinrs that do the I told you so and you owe me because I lose subscribers talk which I’ve heard twice. I think I would like you to do catechesis studies about what a priest is supposed to do when they disagree with the hierarchy, because there are some political stuff and other statements, which could’ve been made stronger that weren’t respectful. that being said, I didn’t like what I saw this week, but I don’t know the context because people were talking in between the video instead of actually letting you hear the full video in Contacts. I’m glad you actually don’t do that on your channel.. I am heartbroken. can you also do some catechesis talk on choosing godparents and what the requirements are for the Guard then I would like you to read statement. I believe some of that we live way that’s been allowed in the church could cause confusion I know it is A way of opening up the church, but there’s other things to what things are considered discipline and what is the doctrine. can you also explain canon law on the death penalty these are some of the things. I know some of this comes from the media I know some of this comes from Catholic I know some of this comes from genuine concern, but that letter was really horrible. Ivan is upset me. I came back to the church and it just seems like such a crazy time.. i’m even trying to do with some issues of disagreement amongst friends and family and honestly I have a hard time . I am also dealing with medical issues and I don’t think I’m totally doing things correctly so I feel like it’s really hard. I tried to pray on sometimes at the right time and sometimes I don’t.. I like to do most of them early in the morning or this time at night. When my house is quiet, please pray for our church. Please pray for my house, my church and my friends.. I know we don’t always. I’ve seen the beauty in both masses, but I do respect your take and how you talk about things patient Love when you talk about your family, I pray your family is blessed men

We can respect the Pope but I serve Our King of Kings no one else. I will still be a Catholic, and I will do what The Lord wants me to do. I am not perfect I am a sinner like everybody else and if we really follow The Lord’s Law we should never agree in what He is against to. I don’t have to accept what others think is right when is not. God made a woman and a man to join them together. That is it. Like you said we really don’t know so how can you believe everything others say? We are not there to see or hear him. Only the ones that are close to him, but they have to keep their mouth close or else. I don’t agree with that. We can’t hide the sun with one finger, the truth is out about how many priest had raped children, seminars and women. We can’t denied all these. Speak with the truth because all these is out and real. Like I said I am Catholic until the day I died, whatever all these people are doing, covering up accepting what The Lord is against of it is a shame. I will still be a Catholic! The only thing we have to do is pray to Our Blessed Mother because The Hail Mary will take us to Heaven. You said that you will not go against your boss, so if you know that your boss is doing wrong things that against your principles would you continue working for him? I will leave because I don’t want to be part of it, just because I need a job. Believe that He will provide if we trust in Him✝️ I will continue praying for the Pope to make the right decisions, for priest and bishops to do what is right. Thank you for your time May The Lord Bless U and your Family🙏🏼

You need to get your facts straight. Regarding reception of the sacraments by divorced and remarried Catholics, Pope Francis leaves it up to the priest who is counseling them. Abstaining from sexual relations is encouraged “when feasible.” It is not a requirement. Read the letter from the Argentine bishops on this subject, and Francis’ reply.

Sold out the true Catholics in China. Now the CCP picks out the bishops. Gave over a million dollars of Peter Pence monies to the production of a gay movies about Elton John. Money that was specifically to go to help the poor. Invited and participated in the idolatry of Pachamama in the Basilica of St Peter. Participated in a pagan ritual in Canada when apologizing for Catholic caused deaths of indigenous peoples which has later proven incorrect. See the Kennedy Report on this. Installed a pro LGBT Mcelroy as Cardinal in San Diego. Chastised Bishop Cordelonie ( sp) for rebuking loud and proud abortion supporter Pelosi. Has promoted illegal immigration in the US that has seen thousands of women sexually assaulted and raped and 300,000 children unaccounted for and made the Mexican cartels rich. Has warmly greeted Biden, Pelosi, and Clinton to Vatican when they should have been publicly rebuked. Pushed the unproven gene therapy derived from aborted babies upon all Vatican employees and derided those who questioned those actions. Lost 100’s of millions of Vatican dollars on failed London luxury apartments. And now has been ambiguous about blessing same sex marriages, baptizing same sex partners children.
