My doctor put me on it for AS. It didn't work and the side effects were horrible. She was so afraid of the O , she said that she had to get me off of the O. The O worked very well.

I took it for 9 months for shingles nerve pain. A life saver at the time. Was able to lower the dosage over time to 0. Shingles was no joke.

My doctor tried to give me this for hot flashes and perimenopause symptoms. I respectfully declined!!SMH Now taking a natural herb Vitex and feel soo better! We have to be our own advocate!

My husband is currently taking gabapentin for neuropathy after an emergency laminectomy in September of 2023. It gives him some relief, but not 100%. He would not even consider taking an O after taking in the hospital after surgery, the constipation was unbearable. His hope is that the nerves still might regenerate in the future.

Good video.. I tried Gabapentin, for diabetic nerve pain, didn't work. Too many side effects. Dr is reluctant to put me on Oxycodone, which worked fine with no side effects. There are always going to be people abusing drugs, this only hurts people who use them responsibly.

Im on it for fibromyalgia now and it doesn't do anything, but when I had extreme acute neuropathy pain from antibiotic toxicity, it worked like magic even when opiods did nothing.

I went off of it for about 5 weeks and could barely function from the nerve pain. My brain fog sure was better tho without it.

Risk of loss of license of docs by government agency is just sickening. Sometimes there is over concern about using Os for herniated disc neck pain but without this my neck nerve pain from a herniated disc would be pretty intolerable. It's not so hard to tell who will abuse and who won't. Stop the madness.

I was allergic to gabapentin and pre-gabalin but gabapentin with dihydro(codeine?) did initially work miracles. Unfortunately it slowed down my breathing and oddly enough caused excruciating pain in my elbows whilst my herniated disc was numbed. Switching to lyrica did not work either. Switched to topomax combined with a large orange opioid tablet but after leaving UK had to switch. Now I take 3 Oxys and 50 mgl fentanyl patch just to be stable. Patches work not 72 hrs but 40 hrs. I add second patch at 40 hrs and let the first patch sit another twelve hours before removing. It takes about 12 hrs for the new patch to start working. Took years to level out the immobilizing pain. Could walk 50 ft. but now walk miles. Breakthrough pain is still nasty but upon average I can live relatively normal pain free. Many people are not that fortunate 😖

I gained 15 lbs in 30 days when taking Lyrica… 😢 it just made me feel weird. It was for fibromyalgia pain. And it sucked. Ultram worked great, as it hits serotonin AND pain. But then it was scheduled and my dr didn’t even taper me off! Cold turkey withdrawal! It was hell.

Very helpful information . What about Duloxetine ? 40mg twice daily. Works good. Your opinion I’d value. Neck injury, nerve pain. Gabapentin 100 mg twice daily . Both currently used. ?

Pelvic, lower back up to the kidney area - excuciating nervpain for 7 months. First dose 150mg Lyrica = 100% pain relif after two hours. Its been two weeks now, I take 150mg two times a day and still no pain. I have no idea what is/was wrong?

I have not seen anyone here.Talk about nervive What no one is talk about with alpha lapoic acid R? This stuff is supposed to repair your nerve damage. I would like to know what the Doctor thinks about that?😮😮😢😊❤

I've been on it for a few months for pain from a compression fracture at L2. Not feeling any real relief so will start to taper off. Would like to know the reason for having to taper off though.

Gabapentin made my eyesight get very blurry & fade out, it made me loose my voice completely so i had to talk with just the breath, it made my fe t hurt beyond tolerable, it was the most painful thing to walk, it was worse than childbirth. I quit cold turkey & my body functions began to come back to normal. I think as pe scribed this by a doctor i never met in person, but just had a isot with his nirse before i had hip replacement. It was the MOST horrible med i have aever been pretty scribed. When i research it on line, it was listed S A MED FOR EPILEPSY.
