My Thoughts on Havana (UGLY CITY)

Hi,I'm a cuban living in Havana,and starting to see your videos.I think you weren't rude in this one,you just were honest.Most of the tourists that come visiting my country usually stay in the beautifully and annually renewed part of Havana,that is being:Obispo Street,Plaza de Armas,and the Historical Centre of Old Havana,and similars.They just don't advance further to the ugly side like you did.You just gave your sincere opinion,wich I understand.

Its called clickbait. Of course Havana is beautiful. It just lacks a lot of maintenance and investment. If it had proper funding, the city would be more beautiful than any in the US.

In certain countries restaurant menus are really for show. You're better off asking the staff what's good today, and order whatever they suggest.

I have been to Cuba 30+ times and to 9 of the 15 provinces , at least 4 of them lay claim to being Columbus' first landing . The people are generally happy despite the lack of everything . I do have dear friends that live there and @ 10 of the employees of the hotel I first met 15 years ago now live in Ontario & Quebec in Canada and a couple in the USA . Repeat guests to certain hotels have got together to raise the funds to pay for documents , transportation and flights to bring them to Canada . While at a hotel in Santa Lucia , Camaguey a buggy driver was hit by one of the water trucks and his horse was killed and carriage destroyed . A collection was taken at the hotel and more than enough funds were raised by the guests in 1 day to get him another horse and cart . Family is everything as there isn't much else for them .

You have to understand the oppression the government puts on the people and even so you will never get robbed or beaten while walking in the middle of the night. I’m from the states and I’ve been there 4 times, the people are why I go back. 🇨🇺
