@@gabrielcastillo13 Whatever happened in Cuba, and I don’t want to downplay it, but Cuba has become truly an unique place where many aspects of society are superior to what is going on in the west. It is not a contest, but it’s just something to enjoy and appreciate. So we can be measured in our respons, like Kirby, Eddie and Edward. Again, that’s easily said without having the experience of living there, but I see so much I appreciate, so much I’d like to see in The Netherlands where I live. In the west smoking is under attack and sometimes we are under attack when smoking a cigar on the streets, yet in Cuba it is celebrated when you do it. So enjoyable!

Of course, I am English, and might not be saying that if I was American!

I’m Cuban born and raised there. Remember all the people you see on this video are suffering and cursing the day they were born on this island. You will often see lines of people sitting on the sidewalks, most of the time those lines are for buying simple things such as bread or eggs. People are really struggling. The young people are migrating and leaving the country. Out of All of the people I studied with I would say half have already left and the other half are dying to leave. My entire family has left during the past ten years, some 20+ people or so. Watching this video as a Cuban is truly heartbreaking to me. I’m “Americanized” now but at the end of the day these are still my people. I walked those streets so many times.

@@kimtoannhan7275 Thank you! As an FYI. When it comes to health care it is true it is technically “free”. Except that when you take into account the fact that right now if you need surgery, let’s say, you the individual has to bring the gloves, syringes, anesthesia, and all the instruments to be used in the procedure. And also don’t forget the little gift to the medical team. Lastly, salaries are so bad that it would be better to have no free healthcare and higher salaries. That would still not be good given the fact that they pay you in Cuban pesos but most of the goods they (the state) sells you are in US dollars or another foreign currency. So the average Joe can’t even buy shit. Don’t be fooled Cuba is a disaster area, Cubans migrate anywhere including Haiti or Congo cause that island is just a prison with palm trees.
