This is another reason why I love this anime: we get to see the realest homies stand up for their buddy because they owe their lives to him, while at the same time I understand why the force wants to kill him. Especially after seeing Kafka go berserk like that, because what happens when a Kaiju that is powerful enough to push him to that point comes along? The power of friendship doesn't mean shit if you get one-shot.

Well the only reason why he almost killed the director was because he was wearing No.2 and Kaiju No.8 just killed it so I doubt any human is going to get will kill by him.

​@LordGlacier7 Kaiju no8, aka Kafka Hibino, never fought number 2. Number 2 has been dead and been Isao Shinomiya's personal Numbers Weapon for years at this point. He's only fought number 9 and punched the bomb from number 10 out of the way so far in the anime. The manga is a bit further ahead, but won't say anything due to spoilers.

Im glad that they went with everyone who worked or knew him supporting him after his reveal instead of some of them feeling betrayed because he "lied" to them or being cyncial because he's half Kaiju despite his actions. I actually think what Director General did was a good thing. Pushing him to his limits in controlled environment, is something that needed to happen to Kafka. He is technically in a suit. I've noticed that transformed #8 spine is the same as the defense force suits it can be argued since the suits are made of kaiju, Kafka is just wearing a suit with 100% release as it's base stat. Could also explain why his release force in a defense force suit is so low since he is always wearing one and put another one ontop of his matural one. But this is all just a theory I have.
