I remember I was playing CakeWars one day, and I decided to play duos. My teammate splashed me with a potion that gave me levitation, slowness, and mining fatigue. I was one of the 2 people in that entire game that didn’t get banned by the Anticheat, and I had been screaming for help in chat for 10 minutes. Finally, someone came to my aid and killed me so the effects were gone. He was a Mineplex level 3 so it was really nice of him to have mercy. I haven’t played CakeWars again.

I used to play on mineplex a ton. It wasn't always this bad, but it's slowly gone downhill. I only quit after they basically abandoned the server for a few months, but even after they came back, it was just... a sharp decline. I don't hate the server, I just pity it at this point.

As a mineplex main I completely agree to many of these points in the video...skyblock used to be working, but is going to get a revamp, so they shut down all servers for it (idk y it’s in the hub either). Survival 8 and survival 9 servers do not work for some reason. Crative housing servers don’t work as well for some reason, but I’ve never heard of mob arena not working. To clarify for microbattles, hunger used to be in, but many players complained about not being able to regenerate health, so they took it out of the game. To go against your argument about the games are generic, yes that may be true, but you can also say the same about Hive. Hive basically has only one original game as well and the other games are basically rip off’s from other servers. Lag issues are horrible and need to get dealt with. These should be fixed soon along with other back end fixes. One more thing I’d like to clarify is that if you get stuck in the air in the pregame hub, don’t do /lobby or /hub Bc u WILL crash. Instead just wait and the game will start like normal. Again hopefully these things get fixed soon. I agree with many points in this video and understand y it’s very annoying to play with, and I truly hope mineplex gets these things fixed soon. These are just my opinions, other than that amazing video! Can’t wait to see more content from you.

Hello! Mineplex QaT and Mod here! The Creative Housing issue is just due to the recent surge in players due to the holiday season. Survival-8 (Which is most likely the last survival server you connected to) is currently down and should be back up soon. SkyBlock is currently down for maintenance. The Arrow and Snowball weirdness is a very well known bug without our community and there are plans to look into it. The Boat issue is a known bug as well and should be fixed down the road. I've made sure to take note of any bugs you may have found on the server and added them to our bug bored if they were not there already. Great Video by the way! Can't wait to see what you do next!

What I hate is that skins that allow hit box changes are allowed. It prevents you from seeing their armor and prevents you from hitting them. Some skins like the Ewok looking skin are examples of it.

great video! i just wanted to say that don't worry about being stuck in the air whilst waiting for the game to start. it usually happens and you will spawn into the game normally. if you do /hub though then yeah your game will crash or you will be stuck on building terrain for a few minutes. just thought i would say that! Mineplex's projectiles are very buggy too and have been for years. on micro battles they used to have hunger as a thing and apples existed but they updated it and now natural regen actually exists. as a micro battle leaderboard player i will say that not having hunger is a good thing. natural regen is better because you aren't limited to hp and people camp and team on you.

Hi PotatoPie! Great video! As an ex-staff member and active player in the Mineplex Bedrock community, I'd like to go over some of the concerns and issues you had while playing. As a disclaimer, none of this was approved nor is the opinion of Mineplex, their employees, or current staff team. Creative Housing - As creative housing uses plots and different servers to connect players it breaks a lot. Database issues and other things lead to it breaking and unplayable. Generally these are fixed but take a long time. Survival - Survival is known to have server outages. The way Survival works is its a large world split up into 20 individual servers. The server you were trying to join was most likely experiencing an outage sometimes these are caused by issues with the code or players. Skyblock - Is offline as they redesign the game. Its been known to have a lot of issues and I honestly don't know why its still in the hub. Mob Arena - Mob Arena should be working and there might have just been some issues connecting at the time. For the floating bug, that is generally well known in the community and something that is being worked on to be fixed. If you stay in the game lobby, the game will teleport you regularly and you should be able to play. Skywars - There are anvils places around the map. In that specific map they are hidden behind some rocks. I generally don't know what goes into designing a new map but sometimes things are hard to find or left out. Most maps have anvils however. Projectiles - These are known to be bugged and I believed are being worked on by the developer. Microbattles - Water acts the same as lava and will damage you. The only reason its water is because its the way the map was designed in this case. I believe the build team decided a while ago that water could be used in the place of lava on some maps to better fit the aesthetics of the map. Bugs - Bugs in general are known to be quite rampant across the network. I personally wasn't apart of QA but I found plenty of bugs that were known and waiting to be fixed. As far as I know, we had a really long list of stuff waiting to be fixed. The main issue is developer time. We only have 1 front end plugin dev(games/stuff player see) and 1 back end(database/servers) developer. These devs do an amazing job already by themselves but they need more developers. I don't think Mineplex is currently hiring new devs as they generally care less about their Bedrock server. In my opinion, something needs to be done but there isn't much I know so I can't say. I fully agree with everything you're saying in this video, from being able to play the games on it on ANY other server to the immense lag, it isn't what it was in the glory days. First went the Java Edition version of the server, and there goes the Bedrock Edition's server. The big thing for me is that they could be bringing out big updates, but instead focus on other things, like bugs that barely pester anyone. It had so much potential but did nothing with it. but the thing is, it was the BIGGEST server in Minecraft Java Edition(, I'm not sure if that's the case in Bedrock Edition, though), but then went to the 40 top server. And it's only getting worse for them. Imagine being the creator of Mineplex, in the beginning, you were one of the fastest-growing servers in the world. But then...People stop playing. The numbers keep going down rapidly until your left with...Nothing. They have a small chance, and are still on the featured servers list, but who knows if they use it right. On Java Edition, I remember when not a lot of people played Hypixel, and everyone was playing Mineplex. how times change, how they change...

Being a Mineplex player when I was young, it had some weird things. I always fell off the spawn platform, and some places had confusing blocks, and didn't make sense. 1. Factions When I was looking at Mineplex's games, I noticed a game called "Factions" and being young and adventurous, I decided to play it. At one point, I got stuck in a 2-block deep hole, and I couldn't place or break any blocks. I didn't know how to use the chat at the time, so I jumped and tried to get the attention of nearby players, and I was in the open, but nobody decided to make me respawn. Then I stopped playing that game after 2 days. 2. Creative Mode I LOVED to play Creative Mode on Mineplex, but I would never find a spot to build, and once I did, I would not know what to build. I saw other people's builds, and I thought they looked cool, but couldn't even place a block even if I found a spot, I just didn't play the game alot. 3. The Hub The Mineplex Hub for me was confusing. The platform that you go off of, it looked so weird for me. And if you got off, you couldn't get back on. It was a real pain in the *bruh* for me. And when I joined a game, it would take 10 seconds, and every player and NPC would disappear. There were Easter Eggs that I would find from time to time, but when I first find them, it says I already found it. 3. Other Stuff So, the other games that it had weren't something of interest for me as a kid, I just played a few games then created 300 worlds. Micro Battles didn't interest me, and this was in 2015, fellas. After playing the Demo for Bedrock on the PC, I started to play on servers. Other games on Mineplex, just didn't interest me.

You made a good effort but all your arguments can definitely be countered. For number 1, which I would say is the worst argument out of all of them, I need to remind you that Potato brought this up because all the games Mineplex shown are easily outshine by the same games on the Hive or some other popular server. Would you rather play the same game in a laggy server plagued with hackers and is filled to the brim with bugs and glitches, or would you play the game on a well optimised server with plenty of features to lessen the amount of hackers and has little to no bugs or glitches. The answer is quite obvious. I also wanted to point out that although the fact that every server has bad game modes, you can’t call a server a server if most of the games can’t even be played. Honestly, one or two laggy servers is acceptable but for most of the games to have no players and to be inaccessible is just unheard of. All your other arguments are just your opinions, I doubt that just because you’re fine with it doesn’t mean everybody else is. Lastly, I’m not here to insult you so please don’t be offended, I just wanted to point out the flaws of your arguments.

If I play 2 - 3 hours of mineplex skywars, I run into at the very least 5 hackers or more. On the forums, I also ran a survey, and most of the community who plays a significant amount on the server agree with me. Mineplex itself has so many cheaters and almost zero anti-cheat. The hackers don't even have to try hard to beat the good players in servers, cause they usually don't exist. Most of the time, I can manage to beat them because they don't even care to try. Although, this ruins the experience of Minecraft.

Mineplex main here. I honestly don't have much reason to play it in the first place. The other servers like Hive and Cubecraft are much more polished and well made. I only really play two gamemodes on Mineplex, of which are Skywars and Cakewars. I play Skywars because of its simplicity; its just what you'd expect. Start out, get loot, kill. I just find it a lot funner than having to worry about mining stuff on Hive, or block glitches on Cubecraft. There is a lot of hackers, but I don't care as much as most people. Can get annoying though. And the projectiles I've gotten used to, though I get super annoyed by the ender pearls. They shoot so low, very hard to clutch. I play Cakewars because, unlike what Patato said, it actually is different from most. Instead of diamonds and emeralds on islands, you collect the beacons, and get the diamonds and emeralds at your homebase. Really adds a lot more meaning to your base, even if your cake is gone. On the subject of the cake, instead of a bed or treasure where you can just destroy it with a click of a button, you have to sit there for a few seconds to eat it. I feel like it adds a more strategy and difficulty to it. That's personal preference, of course. The players on Mineplex are a lot worse too, there's some pros and cons to that, most of which you could probably guess. All in all, by no means is Mineplex the best server, I just prefer it over the others. I also play Cubecraft duels a lot, and sometimes Hive. I'm not trying to oppose what Patato said, just sharing my experience on Mineplex. Hope this gains traction, took a while to type.

I’ve always played mineplex religiously but when I started animating more and more I drifted away from playing Minecraft, I would play every once and a while and love my time playing, when I REALLY came back a few weeks ago I noticed that Mineplex got revamped, especially cake wars and now I play religiously again
