I was at the event in person. The atmosphere was electric and booming. Definitely the loudest and most invested crowd in EvW history. NA represented with the who's who of arm wrestling from the all time Legends to the up and coming Stars. Production was off the charts - Don from Coresports was running around like a madman. Overall excellent event and congrats to Chance and Team West for pulling off a successful EvW on NA soil. There are definitely some opportunities for improvements moving forward, and I see this as only the first of many future EvW events here in NA. As a fan that has purchased and watched every EvW PPV, I drove few hours to see this event Live. Here are some of my thoughts of things to consider for future events: 1) The venue needs to be bigger. The room was packed to the brim with people and was simply not big enough to hold an event of this magnitude. 2) Need better air movement and AC. The room was way too hot and stuffy. With all of the people there, fans and athletes, plus the production equipment, lights, and pyrotechnics, it was a hot and sweaty mess. 6.5 hours of burning up and towards the end all you can smell was BO and weed. 3) Gotta have title matches. Overall representation of the Eastern Elite felt absent without the Russians, Georgians, and Kazakhs. Team West's representation was fabulous as expected (although I wish Ron Bath also pulled on the card - been watching him since the 90's and he was looking jakt at this event). 4) Seats and stage needs to be arranged for better viewing. I sat about 3 rows back from the VIP section and could barely see the stage and table. I found myself trying to get a peak of the action by watching the two large monitors on the sides, but those were mostly obstructed by people. The next event needs either stadium style seating so that people can see over everyone's heads or the stage needs to be raise way up. Towards the end of the event, most everyone was standing up and half of the people in the seats couldn't actually see how John Brzenk pinned Leonidas or how Jerry flashed Alex. Just my 2 cents. Again, fantastic job organizing the event Chance. As a native Floridian, you make Florida and the USA proud.

watching it from home, it was a spiritual experience, honestly, and I mean that sincerely. The quality of the matches, the unexpected outcomes, the beautiful narratives that unfolded, it was amazing. I think everyone who experienced it in some way has been touched by it. Armwrestling blossomed into a beautiful flower today, and it's only really the beginning. The feeling of that was in that room and coming through our screens at home, it's the type of thing that can change the world. The values of community, stronger together, respect to those that have carried the torch, the realisation that it's happened, armwrestling has arrived. All of it.

Hey Chance, I was really impressed by your performance. That picture of you smiling at the camera up 1-0 while Devon struggled to pin you was LEGENDARY. You got a win against a legend and made him work every other round. You didn't fall to his mind games, and he was the one who ended up getting frustrated and shook. He talked big but struggled to beat you. I think what this match made painfully clear is that you were right: 105kg Devon is way too weak to beat guys like Petrenko, Dadikyan, or Irakli.
@krob53754 ай бұрын
I think we need to see Devon adjust to the weight first before making those kinds of assumptions. The guy has been fasting to get down there and this match was short notice, and not a good indicator, it will take awhile to acclimate himself. Once he's been at that weight and regularly training and eating right for at least 4-6 months, his shape will improve. Whether it's enough to beat a guy like Irakli or Oleg remains to be seen.

Yea Devon’s been table time training nearly everyday from what I’ve seen up til they scheduled the impromptu match, he hasn’t been doing any arm wrestling weight training too since Levan. So it was Devon on a diet, worn down from table time version and still put the work in on a rested chance. I’m sure trained up Devon and in a peaking resting stage will be ready for Petrenko soon before other guys.
