Supposedly, the blur is added in the cloud before anyone gets access to the video, including prime
@fireandice18607 ай бұрын
@@LilDragonIndustriesLLC Id like to know who has access to the cloud because usually it means that data is always there. I remember reading the news about it from Prime where they said even if the government needed to see it, it wasn’t possible to access. But pictures uploaded on facebook, or instagram, or to go to the extreme and say personal pictures or videos showing NSFW material, are always in someones database/hard drive. Thats how pictures from long time ago still resurface. Whoever runs Netradyne or their servers must have access to the rest of the footage including the sleeper. I am positive the NSA could access it also if they claimed it was necessary. You already made it clear there are alot of unknowns and I sure as heck agree with you. Not sure if it will chase me out of Prime but that will depend on my settlements

@@fireandice1860 they claim that the system uses its AI to know where the driver is, and draws a box around the driver and then blurs everything else, and that all of that is done automatically before the video is archived. That being said, I have seen videos online from this exact system being used by other carriers where the entire cab is clearly visible in the recordings.

There will never be a such thing as "driverless" semi trucks on the highway. It may become automated. But there are several reason a driver will still be required to live on the semi. At least for the next 50+ years at least.

I just came from Stevens to prime and they had the same tablet and driveri app. As far as the camera it was different being that it had a camera on the left and right. We had a cap on the driver facing camera since they forgot they hired married couples and it’s also a lot of singles in trucking that need to handle “business” 😅 I hope we can cover it too, but I like the dash cam for the idiots on the road.

Not a driver ... yet ... researching companies etc. All this Prime drama is all over KZbin. Having had well over 20 years in corporate however ... there's huge red flags with this. For Prime to spend the exorbitant expense for these cameras, there's something huge not spoken about this. Is Prime a company that has a huge amount of bad drivers? Where insurance rates come into play? Me think not because if you're a bad driver they have justification to fire you with cause. So that's not it. Are they losing contracts?? Maybe, but why? Did they raise their rates and customers are going elsewhere? Maybe. To weed out drivers without a layoff, is the camera expense going to be saving them enough in unaccountably harassing enough drivers to quit?? Maybe. OR taking your attention off driving and trying not to set it off. It also could be "selectively" dinging who it wants at different levels of sensitivity as well. They honestly have to tell YOU nothing or only what they want you to know. This is interesting enough to research and find out more. But the bottom line is this. Do what is best for YOU because a corporate entity does not see you as a human being and does not care about your existence, just theirs. There's no point in fighting or getting upset. Life is too short. Find a solution, your "own best interest solution" because that is exactly what they are doing as a corporate. May God bless your path and help you all out there with this issue. The company I worked for used COVID as a layoff excuse in 2020. Nothing personal. Use that anger and turn it around for YOUR own good!! God's best to you all at Prime, or soon to be elsewhere and better off than you ever thought you could be!!

Also, it doesn’t make any sense to me that they would want to increase liability since the company even though it’s all lease ops can still be sued . so why would the company intentionally increase liability?
@axelthomas63433 ай бұрын
It’s been my belief since these things came out that they are used in software development for self driving trucks… it’s inevitable… no trucking company would want this technology especially a company like prime who hires thousands of rookies annually. There is absolutely no benefit to having the driver facing camera on both the drivers end or company end. You are spot on that there is a much bigger picture here than just “liability.” Either way. Stay far away from a company that does something as evil as putting a camera in your face.
@gustavokennedy2135 ай бұрын
So if video was leaked from the cloud that show a private sensitive moment or some one is watching you from the cloud after they hacked it. Then you could sue prime? When say private I mean. The trucker wife was filmed dressing and her naked body was showing. The camera picked up this footage and leaked it. Or your straggling a lot lizard. Either way u could sue the company right?
