Three. That Bulls team without Jordan was built to sustain success when Jordan wasn't on the floor. Yes Pippen ALMOST made it to the ECF, but understand the team Jordan got drafted to had only Charles Oakley and the rest were basically coke heads that couldn't provide the help needed. Pip was getting punked early on by the tougher teams like the Pistons and Knicks and we saw MJ right there having his back. MJ tried to get him tougher mentally also along with the other teammates. MJ also has praised Pip calling him his fav teammate and that Pip was right there along with him for every accomplishment. MJ called him selfish in terms of bball not personally, in regards to when he got surgery to screw owner/gm but it hurt his teammates was the point MJ was making. He felt they were against the owner/gm so felt like he turned his back on them. I think MJ was hurt by that and instead of looking at it that way, Pip took the other way.
