this video is a brief summary, it is hard to get all my thoughts into a video as short as this. meaning that in the future i will try to go into more depth in specific areas of the bikes capability on and off road.

Good video you should make more on the bike.

You should look into the seat concepts low seat if the bike seems taller. Not only is it lower but much more comfortable.

honestly at this point ive gotten used to it, ill look into it anyway and see if i think its worth it, thanks.

I was also going ask your height but you did answer that you were under 5'5" But how big a guy are you to get it up to 85 mph? I'm also considering getting a CRF250L & 5'6" & about 170 I'm not looking a major highway travel but it would be nice if I needed to.

im light as hell, if your atleast 50lbs heavier it would be hard to get 75.

Did you just put a slip on FMF or did u change the headers as well? Great sound!
@motomikeyoutube4 жыл бұрын
just slip on, still noticable performance.

What’s your opinion of the rally do you think all that plastic will get in the way I know it’s set up for the highway as well
@motomikeyoutube4 жыл бұрын
i havnt ridden the rally version but i believe the bikes are similar specs wise so given that i would go with the regular 250L. when your offroading its nice to see whats directly infront and beside your wheel and i think the plastic may hinder that but again i havnt ridden one.

Hey man cool vid! Did u need a tune with putting the slip on exhaust?
@motomikeyoutube5 жыл бұрын
i didnt, mainly did it to un-choak it. went from a 2 inch header to a 1/2 inch.

@@chrispeterson1247 yeah next to the old cop car. That field also doubles as a runway aperently. Theres that long stretch of cut grass and I've seen the guys plane there before. Pretty nice.

so no EJK fuel kit for the slip on exhaust?
@motomikeyoutube4 жыл бұрын
No I was heavily considering it, but it is just a 250 and of course i hope to get a larger bike sometime soon. Most people will say that there will be no difference unless you get a tune but i disagree in this case, 6th gear with the stock muffler (1 inch outlet from a 2 inch header and about 30 lbs) 6th gear was unusable, like even at 60 sometimes if the wind blew against you youd have to downshift it was absurd. that little slip on freed up the bike alot and i could tell a night and day difference, it almost seems like they ran the bike too rich for what the stock pipe allowed (its almost like they know the stock muffler is the first thing to go huh) but not only did it make a 5 mph difference in top speed (honda says itl go 80, mine does 85) but id imagine it lowered the center of mass a tiny bit which can go a long way when your balancing out on the trails. Also if i were to want to do the EJK id also get the big bomb header also made by fmf and a K and N filter to go with, hell if i thought i was going to have it for a few more years id go ahead and get the 300 big bore kit too. hope this helped and im always up for questions about it, its at 13k now and still strong.

@@motomikeyoutube aweome and love the honest answer bro!!! I myself order a 2020 CRF250L Black, i alrighty ordered the Skid Plate and rag guard by Emperor. also order hand guard, rider protection gear and Yoshimura RS-4 Slip-On Exhaust which cost a lot.....

@@loyalmoses1677 hell ya man,, I heavily considered getting all black plastics for the 250l but they arnt cheap and im probably not going to keep this forever, also i wanted the p-40 warhawk decal for it, look that up i love it hahaha, but im glad to know someone else in the 250l gang around and one thing you mentioned that i want to warn or caution you about, the handlebar guards. Its near impossible, the bars are really crowded and an issue i ran into is the bar guards i had that anchored inside the bars and to the outside of the bars closer to the tripple tree didnt go out enough to evade the throttle cables. I ended up using some ones that were cheap and only attached to the bars from the outside next to the throttle housing before th ebend in the bars since thats the only place they can go literally, i had to put the support for it between the throttle cables, however i had to adjust the cables to widen the gap to put it there and in doing so whenever the bars were turned all the way to the right it would give the bike gas even with no imput on the riders part, and knowing good old modern manufacturing id venture to say that issue is probably still there. If you want more information on this ill be happy to explain but i dont want you to go buy expensive bar guards that might not work.

I had the CRF250L also. I was told by my dealer that only one fork tube has a spring in it. I don’t know what truth there is to that because I never took it apart. I loved the 250L. I wanted a little more power and suspension so I bought a XR650L. That was also nice but just so fricken top heavy and not a well balanced bike. I traded that in on a CRF450L. I may purchase another CRF250L in the future for a different riding style and to get my wife on a dual sport. Nice video and good info. 👍🏻

thanks man, also the fork thing is 100% true. in the service manual there is a diagram of it if i remember correctly. and having one spring explains a bit XD. in the future i may get a street bike and oce that happens ill probably re-gear the 250l to make it souly for offroad use.
