For the money it's hard to beat the stateline or the interstate, they are beautiful bikes and very well balanced for a heavy bike. Put silver accents on my fenders and a studded seat, made it really pop. always turns heads. Most don't even know honda makes this kind of bike

Sweet man, just like mine. That's a Mustang vintage wide seat, about 500 bucks but so much more comfortable than stock. It's a nice ride and I've had no problems at all. Changing the coolant kinda sucked the first time though, the shaft drive also has a different feel to it than chain/belt. Seems it can be a lil jerky at low speeds yet really smooth at higher speeds. You may want to put a throttle rocker on the gas grip, it helps a lot with wrist fatigue. You seem very happy with your purchase, be safe, cheers!

Thanks for the kind words and the advice. I'd love to see yours! I'm a big fan of any walk-around vids featuring this bike or it's sibling the Stateline. About the seat, I've had a few folks point out that it's not stock and I'm def not complaining. It's a great seat and super comfortable. I did do several small trips though where I was wishing I had a backrest. First 150-200 highway miles it does the job, then it's like... yeah a backrest would be very welcome right about now haha. I'm going to do a follow-up vid probably this weekend with some updated thoughts. Ride safe out there Jacob, have a good one!

U got a great deal on that! I was happy to pay $4200 for my Stateline a few years back. You got the floor boards, exhaust, seat,…all things I have to pay to upgrade and will cost me quite a bit more than u paid. If you can still find these cheap I’d go for it cuz the simple classic look won’t get old as time goes on.

2011 interstate and I’m coming over from a small sport bike and love it but… I’m a little older and so is my wife and getting on and off that bike is a pain in the but and riding it for long rides is also a pain because you have two choices either lay on the gas tank so you can relax your arms or ride in a permanent push up position either way for me it’s short rides only but the one thing I did like about it is the weight and the power it’s only a 250 dual overhead cam v twin so I never had to baby the throttle and it tops out at 120 mph at about 350 lbs but let’s face it being a grandpa on a sport bike is a midlife crisis on steroids but I love my new bike comfort and easy to get on and off with bags and a windscreen but it’s a lot heavier than the last one and but my wife loves it and couple’s that play together stay together

Finally figured out how to leave a comment on here, lol. Good video, nice bike. Looks like uve got an aftermarket seat (probably more comfortable than stock), sux about the bag but u can probably use a heat gun on the underside to warm the plastic up and mold it back into shape...just a thought. Keep it safe out there.
@triumph_cv6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the advice Ed. I'll try out the heat gun this weekend. I'll update you on how it goes. Stay safe man.

Nice bike! I have the 2010. Seat was a little hard for me. Switched out the seat, added a pillion for the mrs. Had a lot of head buffeting around 65 mph. So much so that I had to replace the windshield. I'm only 6'1". How has windshield removal effected the ride for you. Still getting a lot of buffeting but not like the other shield. Wondering if removal is the best way to go. Thoughts?
@triumph_cv4 жыл бұрын
I'm 6'2 and the buffeting hasn't been that bad but then again I wear a full face. I used to remove it but lately just keep it on as the wind can really wear you out on longer rides.
@alquinn35624 жыл бұрын
@Christian I have a full face shoei and it's great for dampening wind. I think the factory windshield was the culprit. Bought a calsci windshield and it seemed to take care of the buffeting south of 80 mph. Anything above that I have to duck under the shield and look through it. Rarely am I going north of 80 so it's a minor inconvenience. Great bike!!!

My 2015 Interstate is identical. Just perchased a Mustang turing seat. I also installed wind deflectors on the front forks to stop about 80% of the wind turbulance. Like you love the Honda.
@triumph_cv6 жыл бұрын
The wind deflectors probably make a huge difference in keeping your legs and core warm... May consider that for the cooler months. Thanks for the comment and for stopping by! Hope to see your Interstate sometime. Ride safe,

Where did you buy the saddlebags and hardware for this bike?
@SunIsKillinVampires5 жыл бұрын
Do you think this would be a good bike for a newbie.
@triumph_cv5 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. It's not that torquey, and the shifting and acceleration is smooth as butter. It sits low to the ground which would make it easier for a beginner at stops. However, it's pretty heavy, and very LONG - and the rake angle makes it harder to maneuver at slower speeds. So I'd say it's 50/50. There are other bikes which would be easier to start with (which a rider would quickly outgrow), but if someone is in love with this bike it could serve as a good first bike. Id also recommend a riding course to any newbie
