Are you referring to even using Content Manager? I think it's a little confusing at first, but once you get set it up properly it's pretty solid and easy to use... Btw, if you're interested we're hosting a server with the CA canyon roads map and some modded cars we cherry picked.

@@dorian13 the AC server had a lot of flaws, even more than the ACC server. One of the biggest is the car selection. It is so stupid in AC. You have to put every car you want to drive in a file and also have a hard limit how many cars you can put in that file. I really hate to work with the AC server. The ACC server is also terrible to configure especially the weather. I hope in ACE we get a easier to configure server with way more option than we had in the past.

All I want from a new AC is it just being a more fleshed out, prettier version of the original. It needs to keep the mod support, and that community has to be able to flourish again for me to care and come back to it regularly. To this day I and many others regularly hop into AC, if only to just drive some mad old modded car around a track for a bit, if we get a that back together with good freeroam implementation and proper VR support, I'd be over the moon. For the weather, rain especially, we're spoiled now with iRacing's version, so I'm trying not to expect too much. It'll be fun either way, though.

I think you're almost right with your geoguessr attempt - but not quite. The road is correct, it's the L92, but you actually went past the right hairpin at 8:36. That one has a stone gutter and kerb on the outside, just like in the trailer, and other roadside stuff matches too. The other hairpin that you found has gravel instead of a kerb and a different style of guardrail.

Simply put, I will always be chasing the dragon of that first TDU game and what I imagined it could be with modern hardware. I want AC and TDU (the good one) to have a baby. I want an economy system where I can earn money and buy houses and cars. I want to explore road ways and go on grand tours. I want the Mille Miglia modeled (or at least partially modeled) where I can parade a 250 GTO past gawkers and car chasers. I want to build my empire of amazing machines and then use them to just drive around. I want it to have offline mode.

I expected tragedy since first FM trailer. They were focusing on eye-candy and unnecessary details and showing stuff that was problematic/outdated in previous entries Here I am slightly sceptical. I'm afraid we won't get any of the racing or road car classes properly represented and instead Kunos will just provide "little taste" of everything, but at the same time it's hard to not notice amount of things that were missing in original AC. Plus it's hard to ignore "coolness" of having 3 or 6 wheeled car in "proper" mainstream simulator.

I would love the option to buy a used car and then upgrade it with my prize winnings like the old school Gran Turismo, but with ACC level realism, plus the free roam/traffic experience. For example, imagine you drive from your in-game home (in career mode) over to the tuning shop and purchase an upgrade then test it out on the drive over to the circuit for the next race.

When I think of TDU and Assetto Corsa together it feels almost impossible, like having a simracing game that is professional racing, driving around towns and Gran Turismo like with the tuning and number of cars, all in a TDU fashion with dealerships and a huge map. One can only hope for a game that has all of this. BeamNG so far is the closest thing because any kind of driving or racing you can do.

You can tell they really deep-dived on the features that CSP (x4fab) & Pure (Peter Boese) have brought to the game. The animated footwork, the rain, the light rays, it's like they tried to encapsulate the essence of AC in a modern remake, which ultimately would be perfect just as AC was with the graphics they're currently teasing

I imagine it will run very well, similarly to the original AC. Since it's their own game engine, it is entirely focused on doing one thing, unlike bloated game engines like Unreal and Unity, which are built to support multiple types of games that can do lots of different things.

@@dogjuicejaxn2490 They probably have managed to do the same thing Gran Turismo does with their in house engine of the game... meaning they push the graphical fidelity to the limit by pre-rendering a lot of things to keep the GPU from being overworked... which is the problem with Unreal Engine cause it renders on the fly and sends your FPS to the dumpster... think about how bad FPS are on ACC when you render 20 other cars on the track compared to when you are alone... alone I have almost almost 200fps on my RX6900XT Nitro +, with others I have 90-100... which is sad... EA WRC has the same issue with the Unreal Engine they use which in rallying it's even worse cause you don't run around a track but the game has to render environments for up to 30km which you pass through at insane speeds and Unreal Engine is rendering it all as you go... and your FPS is dogshit compared to what it could be because of it... Racing games CANNOT use Unreal Engine, it's a great video game engine but a horrible engine for racing games specifically

Good online multiplayer and ranking system is a must for me. The only reason ac is never taken serious by esports or die hard simracers is only because of it's lack of a ranking system/matchmaking system. If they do something like acc it would already be so much better than the all self-hosted and controlled open lobbies on ac...

Something tells me ranked racing won't be in the sim, historically this is not what kunos does, also hardcore ranked players won't leave iRacing even if ac had it. Acc would be nothing or even remembered if it were not for lfm. Don't get me wrong I love ranked racing and I hope they have a part of the game ranked racing but I don't think it's their focus here, but I hope I'm wrong.

And while there are some leagues and ranking systems like lfm, it never really took off. Which just is a waste as it is a very capable sim for it. To me it looks like a huge business opportunity if they manage to make a somewhat better matchmaking/ranking system. Or support lfm like communities as soon as possible to get it rolling and accessible to everyone that is gonna play ace. To me this is the most important thing for the game to be something different from it's predecessor and not just be a better looking open world ac... Don't get me wrong, it is nice to have an upgraded ac. But with content manager with it's millions of mods and pure out there for ac, they should also really focus on the weak parts of ac: gameplay and matchmaking. All info we got shows us they realize what made ac the quality content it was. But they need to improve the less great things too if you ask me. To make it competitive enough to attract ac players away from content manager ecosystem...

A lot of great functionality comes with the Content Manager mod which I would love to see in AC Evo. Especially the ability to create one's own championships with custom rules, create custom car classes and championships. Let's be honest, the UI in vanilla AC was so cursed that any version to improve on that was gonna be great but the thing that CM developed into is gold.

I really want local/online private CO-OP Career mode or a Custom local/online CO-OP Career mode option. When you have families and friends all with rigs that want to join together for a Family series it would be awesome for a game to allow such a thing.

So many KZbinrs have covered this and pretty much all are on the assumption its going to have free roam, imagine the uproar when we find out it doesn't have any free roam.... But i hope it will be free roam, then you meet at certain cafes to race the circuit you want too

Assetto Corsa was missing what I considered to be basic features after coming to it from GTR2. No day/night cycle, no accelerated fuel consumption, no full grid of cars in the same class with unique liveries, no proper damage physics/graphics etc. Mods fixed some of that. AC EVO may correct that this time around?

With what seems like the fleshed out Nurburgring experience, I really really hope they give us a tourist mode, where AI cars of all variants are just driving around the track of all different driver skill, some absolutely sending it, some driving reserved etc. could be cool.

fun fact, when there is that one scene with traffic, there is a third car on the last frame, it's a blue hatchback on the "background" road (like the bit of road the bmw is about to drive on)

I never got into AC when PC2 was just plug and play. As a casual Sim racer, just sticking my Logitech wheel in the usb and being ready to race is essential.

AC looks great but it's so much work to make it look and play like that and have all the mods that I don't blame you... I just race on ACC that I don't have to work for hours and hours to race on... plus AC with all the mods takes easily around 200GB of your drive which is insane cause newsflash, I play other games too, 200GB is an insane ask... people hate Call of Duty for being 130GB... imagine 70GB more than that...

The weather on Project cars 2 was a damn good feature really. With 3 different random meteos, the strategy was put on top, and the way the water become deep creating aquaplanning was crazy. I don't really get why PC2 isn't very played compared to AC / ACC.

It got removed from steam, and also AMS2 just took the same engine and vastly improved it. AMS2 is the ultimate madness engine game to play right now (for better or for worse)

@@shawndixon4536there’s 3 big issues I have with pc2 but they can all be fixed by one change. 1. The cars will spin randomly running over kerbs 2. The cars get really snappy mid corner for no apparent reason 3. The puddles in the wet drag your car around massively. You can fix this by running stability control but turning traction control off by setting it to 100. The car will still slide if you’re an idiot on the power but they’re way more predictable
