This video is not meant to be negative. I am a believer in Network Marketing as an industry. However, I think there are a lot of glaring holes in the business model of PHP. This video is intended to bring light to those holes for the people who are considering joining PHP and are unaware of what to look for.
@lifeandlibertycrew19064 жыл бұрын
This video is making points without actual knowledge. This is painful, with all due respect and speaking from ignorance. Are you watching material for clients and agents? They are different. I have worked in different companies and around different companies and agents. PHP Agency has the highest ethical practices and standards. We have Robert Kurzner on our board, the former President and CEO of LIMRA and LOMA. We have the former COO of Pacific Life as our COO. We had a semi-retired former head of sales development from AIG and Edward Jones assist in sales manual. You can get licensed, but you are going to to go out write business until you are certified. We have a training program. The broker determines if you are fit to run appointments and write business. There are multiple layers of checks before an app is submitted to the carrier. There is a careful and deliberate process that ensures each policy and person is treated with care. We start with education and a budget and don’t just write policies or sell insurance. We also say no and have people learn how to save money first. We also have a law group that assists clients with debt settlements. Yes, IUL’s can be done wrong. This isn’t a one size fits all. We don’t push one type of insurance, but have a careful approach. We do a budget and financial analysis to create a plan that assists each client according to their needs. We represent 34 of the top A rated financial services carriers. We write good business. We have over 16,000 agents. We are opening new offices accords the USA because their is a low cost to start and we have eliminated many of the barriers that stop the average person from being able to have a successful agency. PHP Agency is similar to Keller Williams, Century 21 and NY Life. We are not MLM, there is a split of commission over 7 people potentially. However, the person doing the work and/or generating the client are in the best position to earn for a policy written. This isn’t like MLM with endless levels, where you have to buy something. We don’t get paid when someone joins PHP. We get paid when we write policies, just like most agents. PHP Agency has taken the best from each business model and combined them to create a very efficient, low overhead, low cost, sleek business that can grow exponentially and quickly. You get a license and get certified and you can produce. You pay for your licensing and you own your license and book of business. You can build as many offices as your are able to and as fast as you are able to and we work as a team. So, the person who is an expert with writing insurance is given the task of presenting and writing a policy. It’s not random free-for-all. We are like a sleek, well oiled, fine-tuned race car.

@@lifeandlibertycrew1906 fair enough. I can respect that's where you are coming from. If you're a broker, I hope that's how you run your business. However, the recruiting tactics we have experienced would say otherwise.... Plus, in my opinion, selling IUL as an investment is dangerous. MLM and Network Marketing are the same. You just divide it in your understanding. You don't need to buy products in MLM. You simply need to recruit to be successful. It just happens to be that most companies have products. But not all do. Question for you...? What is the starting commission payout percentage for a new agent? Do you have a copy of the comp plan? If I am wrong on this, I'm happy to admit it. I'm simply going on what I have experienced to this point based on mine and Caleb's experience. Like all companies, I am not saying there are not good people in PHP. Great video. BUT, PHP is not an insurance company full of insurance agents. Their products and services include 401k rollover, Annuities, Long term care, and Debt Settlement as well. That’s why they are considered a Financial Marketing organization. Yes, everyone who joins gets trained to become licensed in Life insurance. Now the policies they offer include Term, Whole life, and Universal whereas some of their competitors only offer term. They’re big on educating people on financial literacy, team building, and personal development.

One i have no experience what so ever in it. Shoot i didn't even know it existed but i was willing to listen. Instantly my gut felt the delivery of the PHP video was the equivalent of a car sales man. Two i felt it was more of a story then to the point of what I would be doing and what it's about. This is no disrespect towards the company or ceo just my first impression. I am the type who likes to get right to the point of who what where when why vs the sales pitch tactic. I am so glad you guys made this video. I also googled and did my research. This isnt a hey come join our team thing its a pay for "knowledge" thing. I highly do NOT believe in gate keeping knowledge. I understand not everything in life is free but if it was more about the people then the money the information would be easier to find. Right! So outside of the entrepreneurial features or benefits of insurance and financial services, to be more descriptive of the task and how you make money, It’s recruit and sell. Hi Joshua, it sounds like you didn’t really understand the system. It’s not the Joshua Footman system. It’s the PHP System. Maybe, your trainer wasn’t able to spend as much time with you or maybe your trainer was waiting for you to set some appointments to work with you. But maybe you were too busy reading and not actually applying. You learn our system by applying, not just reading or sitting in a classroom. Tuesday and Saturday trainings are more general trainings. You get hands on training by actually going out and prospecting and having appointments run that you get shadow and like an apprentice eventually run. The point of recruiting is not just to recruit. It’s to generate clients. This is a great mentor-ship and training program. You learn from real world application with a trainer and not just reading a text book.

speaking from experience there's no structure to the training at all, a new recruit will be thrown into the same trainings that current/ longtime agents are receiving. I dealt with being a captive agent and I have learned more from PHP then I did at my captive agent. I think if y'all want to speak about PHP you should have reached out to someone at PHP to find out what we actually do and how we actually do it. PHP Agency is a great company. I don't think you can fully understand an organization unless you spend time working in the organization and giving it all you got. PHP and PBD are huge on personal development which is great for people especially those that have been an employee all their life. The main way to address the issues highlighted in the videos is through entrepreneurship. Yes, turnover is high. But that is not unique to PHP. Most people won't do anything special. So lots of people try PHP, but most don't succeed because of their issues, not PHP. Most people look for ways not to do something, rather than just working hard and succeeding.

Just curious... was advised by this group that I could work for them, generate my own leads (by going out to random places), then I would not learn to go through the final stages of selling the product (at first) but pass off the customers to the person good at finalizing the sale familiar with all the paperwork, etc, and then I would only get 30% of the commission at first. Is this typical? I would think with such a low, low commission, I'd at least be given leads. Could you suggest a good agency to start with?

That said Mutual of Omaha is offering a competitive IUL, not only term, according to our IUL expert who does this the right way. Thanks for posting.

Mutual of Omaha has the lowest COI I have seen in an IUL and I do like the fact that it is very basic with no engineered indexes and no multipliers or any other widget. So from that angle, it is good. Sosene, I don't need a process... Besides, "Your Next Five Steps" means nothing. What is inside those 5 steps is the most important component. My experience with PHP agents has been up and down. Mostly spam and poor training, but there have also been a couple of decent people, as well. The business model seems more driven towards the upline making more money. 50% commissions to start? That is super low. I believe that's what new agents start at for personal sales til they hit a certain volume. Not to mention, if you are selling permanent life insurance properly, you need to cut your potential commission earned on a policy by 85+%. If you are doing it any other way, it's unethical imo. That means there is virtually no money to be made for most agents in PHP. I am open to a conversation if I am wrong...

When we do sit down or do Zoom with a client we focus on six steps in order to fulfill their needs & to make sure that families household is financially secured or debt free because there's a whole lot of other things we do besides insurance . @LIFE1804 жыл бұрын
My thoughts are this... Doug can say anything he wants about IUL being better. Here is the challenge, the purpose of IBC really requires the guarantees of a whole life policy. If it were a good idea, Nelson Nash would be endorsing the concept. He is not... Once again (as I have said in many videos), IUL's were designed to take the risk AWAY from the insurance company. While an IUL may have A bit more upside in a bull market, if you are using the policy as a main investment strategy you are missing the strategic concept altogether. IUL's pay more commission. Period. That's why so many are pushing them compared to whole life. To sell a properly structured whole life policy, you will need to take a 80-90% commission cut. That's why most agents won't do it or don't focus on learning how to do it properly.

They are jot being honest about the cost of the insurance and selling you on the guarantee. Whole life is the main money maker for carriers and makes millions for insurance carriers, it is over priced and you are over paying.

I have a video coming out on Doug this week. Be on the lookout

@@LIFE180 I've been doing some research, and I would definitely agree, IULs aren't suited for IBC. WL and IULs each have their own purposes, and both are good. Even with the IUL, there is a way to structure it where the agents will take an 80-90% commission cut and more money will be pushed towards cash value.

You tried to crap on PHP to promote your own business but you didn't even say anything of actual substance. You did a couple hours of research on PHP and think you're qualified to criticize them and their systems & processes, what a goofy thing to do. You're embarrassing yourself.

Is that what I did? I didn't even have my IMO when I made this video.... You are obviously with PHP... All good. If you think is all I did was a couple hours of research, you don't get it. Why don't you make a comment stating something about any inaccurate info I shared? Because you can't. Do some background on me and my former positions....I am plenty qualified to critique PHP

PS - I started my company because of the responses I received from making videos like this one. I did it to help people who have confirmed what I talk about to be 100% accurate.

I love this video. But yesss!! PHP Agency does have other services other than insurance!

I see people listing the services on this thread. I've yet to see anything regarding a comp plan and how you get paid on those. Furthermore, I am shocked that they would offer those services, yet not promote them on the PHPagency website....🤔🤔

@@LIFE180 Yeah im not sure. Its not my company so I can't speak on their behalf in terms of what they show on the PHP agency site. But, they do offer settlement debt and other services. I believe they even have access to saving accounts that other markets don't have. In terms of the comp plan, I believe someone down in the comments said they sent it to you. Im not sure if they did or didnt. But I wont flat out say what it is because like you guys mentioned, there are people out in the world that don't care and will screw people over. We do have mostly warm markets. That being said, the compensation does pay a good amount for the work we put in. People who do start off do get paid regardless, obviously they would just need to get their license.

Can you imagine dedicating your life to making videos about other people’s successful companies? Jealousy can be a deadly sin 😬

You mean making videos dedicated to educating people about something they don't understand from an outside perspective? I love this industry, and the practices of WFG and PHP are atrocious... all you do is sell IUL, and normally improperly and you do it under the guise of "financial education"
