In legion i found bots farming nodes of ore that were bugged, so they were just casting and casting and not picking anything up. And since this is a specific ore that is bugged, multiple bots accumulate at the same one. Looks hilarious.

I got ban for a short time during my farm travel I didn't see message and, I think that I commonly play without headset and during the flying toward another node I use autorun and this mf ban me -_-' likelihood because my trajectory was straight. I've played for about 6 yrs paying every month, after this event I decided to stop with it and gradually I stopped.

yeah trust me, even on the server i ran, no one paid attention to the gm's. because gm's on private server tended to let power go to their head. mainly because once you become a gm, there is nothing left in the game for you to do, you can spawn everything in your inventory. a true gm would not grab thunderfury, they would dress in the simplest gear.

My husband and I were trying to get every vanilla horde quest done before cata and rolled a pair of tauren dks so we would out level the content and do it faster. But for fun we also wore all the gear we got. No epic dk loot. Just questing greens. We must have been reported a thousand times and the GMs had a real fun time following us around and we saw them on several occasions. We would spam emotes and jump up and down and have so much fun when we would spot one. We had a brief conversation with one who was like 'can you tell me what you're doing?' and we explained and he was like 'okay have fun.' poor confused GMs.

I realize this is an old video at this point but... 4:05 the [@mouseover] modifier for macros allows you to do exactly that, interact without targeting as long as you keep your cursor over the target and are in range. @focus and @targetoftarget can also be used in a similar manner. Not to say the person wasn't botting/hacking but this action isn't necessarily an indicator.

They made me GM on this shitty server called UberWoW, back when TBC was retail. I got into it with the Admins, and basically went into Shatt, gave all the NPC's GM weapons, and made them 100 times bigger. After about an hour, i spam spawned ragnaros and scaled him up as well in shatt, crashed the server. They ended up deciding to wipe for some reason to get rid of the GM weapons, too.

Krljavi Dzo - Blizzard ban bots in batches, they monitor them for a period of time and ban thousands in one go. If they banned them individually as they were caught the bot software would just get updated to prevent detection and thousands more bots end up going unnoticed.

I remember being a GM back in 2013 when Pandashan launched, man, those were good times. I remember that once I got promoted to Head GM, I finally had a command to check people's IP. Turns out a dude was running over 50 bots from one virtual server, just to farm gold and sell it afterwards. Crazy how far people will go to make money, even on private servers.

Pfft reliance on macro's is why raiders were so horrible at pvp cause they couldn't adapt. You could just simply spin at high speed and hit tab and then click an ability for auto lock on. For every class I played i had arena1-3 macros for any cc and of course keybinds for targeting. Anyways, I played from vanilla up to MoP and the reason why players sucked back in vanilla is because 99% of people didn't macro, use keybinds in general, or know how to fake-cast etc, every expansion the average player got better and better.

Um, no, no one was using keybinds (maybe the top players) and most people still keyboard-turned. Most of the guys I knew who got glad in s1-s3 keyboard-turned, clicked and since then haven't gone above 2k (because they never even tried to use keybinds). I think most pros would admit that the average player, and most Gladiators sucked ass compared to even the average Challenger now. I've been R1 once and Gladiator most seasons since wotlk (I sucked in TBC admittedly) so I think my opinion is still pretty valid. Maybe I'm an idiot but I've discussed this with other people and usually got to a consensus that the average player is much better now (now would have been around MoP, i haven't played or really talked about WoW since then). I'm also NA, if you're EU then it might be a different situation.

Because they don't? Blizzard GM's work in one of 2 Blizzard offices, and they use a custom client to assist people. It is a customer service position. There is no such thing as the dot commands (those are strictly a private server invention).

you can use custom client to assist people on private servers too, majority people dont bother with it because its simply an unnecessary thing that wastes time (thats why your tickets on retail take so long to answer) and the "dot commands" exist on retail aswell, GMs there simply use the pre-made macros for them instead of typing them out.

As someone who ran bots years ago in retail I can always pick them out by the way they behave. The movements are always jerky but precise and the rotations are frame perfect every time. I f you know someone’s 5 year old who is nailing perfect rotations and always knows to heal at the exact % every time they can join my raid team I need a good raid healer haha.

Question about the attack while not targeting something. I play current wow as a pvper and you can use focus macros to attack other players your not targeting. Or even mouseover macros. So was that not a thing during that time?
