Does it run at 60 fps on ps5?

I hope the late game is fully automated like in Portia. The AI enabled factory, robot worker, resource orders and bounties meant you could just sit back and fill the bag and spend it on all all marble house. My swag was literally off the charts and I got the best girl.

@warwick is multiplayer available on PS5? I've only seen 1 review that mentions multiplayer and it's a Switch review which is very negative in general and states multiplayer is not out. Seeing as how my purchase revolves around multiplayer with my wife I'd like to be certain it exists before I purchase.

the multiplayer wasn't available when I played but my copy was a review copy. I've sent an email to my contact who will hopefully be able to confirm if/when it's coming! As far as I know it IS coming, but when im not sure

got confirmation from the official twitter/x page that multiplayer WILL be coming to console, but will take a little longer. here's the tweet: "Yes! The console versions will be getting the multiplayer it is just going to take us a bit longer!" so if multiplayer is a major feature, i would recommend holding off until the co-op is brought to console! hopefully wont take them too long!

The cover of my physical copy says "content download required" do I have to have internet connection to play it?

i believe you only need to be online to install it as there be some patches and updates, but once that is done I believe you are free to play it offline!

I'm worried about the PS5 version, i heard about some pretty heavy frame drops in performance mode, and it's a bit overpriced on PS Store, I want to play it, but I guess i'll wait.

i only played a small part of the game but for the most part it seemed to run well! they may do some patches in the future to help with frame drops though!

Performance mode is actually quality, and quality is performance. This was confirmed and will be sorted, so play quality for fps just now. On Xbox and PS. 😊

I just bought it...performce mode runs worse than quality mode and has lower resolution. It stutters from time to time. It desperately needs and update to patch it. But devs are radio silent on X when asked about it.

Good review however I do feel calling either of the My Time games farming simulators is slightly misleading. Neither game has a focus on farming. You are a builder and primarily do odd jobs for the townsfolk for daily commissions and for the main storyline. Farming is mostly used for seldom needed or obscure ingredients. Calling it a farming simulator may make people think it's similar to Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley or something and the My Time games are nothing like those.

100% agree! I was using farming as more of a catch-all term when I should of been more clear saying it was a 'life sim' game rather than anything else! but thanks for the kind words and comment!

Although, they did improve the farming section in Sandrock. It was garbage in Portia. Now it's a little bit more engaging and fleshed out. When I got the tutorial for farming, I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting it to be identical to Portia. They've improved a ton in Sandrock. I LOVE the quality of life changes all around! Being able to immediately purchase a horse, home customization is amazing, and thank the good Lord for being able to save whenever we please! I felt like it was such a chore playing Portia when I was just done and didn't want to/ have time to finish the entire day just to save! I always felt pushed away by that alone. I do agree with you on the farm Sim comment though. It is a building game through and through. I'm just saying the changes were wonderful to me. 😅 sorry for the long comment

i honestly think that the “no cutting trees down” thing is full of shit. everything respawns within 3 or 4 ingame days anyways plus even if the villagers bitch at you for it it doesn’t drop their friendship levels

I got it for PS5 and performance is not great which is not cool. This game does not have next gen graphics nor some crazy effects and there are constant frame drops and screen tearings on both quality and performance mode. Performance mode is bad because it makes textures so blurry and looks like ps3 game. They need to work on optimisation asap. Also they switched names of modes. Performance is Quality and Quality is Performance, so don't get fooled when you set to quality and feel frame increase. Its not quality because you will notice worse textures. They are blurry and also view distance is reduced. Some particles are also absent.

Well if this is playstation 5 gameplay than its really not cool. If they need to have performance and quality mode for this kind of game, that means that we should avoid console version until they optimise it and make it 60 fps with actually good graphics, not potato graphic to run on current gen console. Its embarrassing.

literally almost all PS5 games have the option to play it in performance or quality mode. Alan Wake 2, Assassin's Creed Mirage, Resident Evil 4 Remake are just 3 examples of having both. Not sure why having a choice in how you play is bad...

Having a performance mode for a game like this, on the same consoles that can run a game like Spider-Man 2 at 60fps with ray tracing, is pretty ridiculous, wouldn't you agree?
