My time with the Tesseract by BA Balis... I have some thoughts

I got in on the pre-order for the Tesseract and originally planned on doing an unboxing but just got caught up with work-life stuff and I'm finally getting around to sharing this with you. After spending about a month with the Tesseract and swapping out the weights for the four different balances I can say with some confidence I enjoy no weights the most. This is one of the most unique balisongs in my collection of butterfly knives. it is not unique from a design standpoint, being somewhat derivative of many balisongs like the MachineWise SlifT of the Telesto. being derivative isn't a bad thing just something to recognize. it sets itself apart though in the weight. This thing is ultra lightweight. I have to remind myself that it is titanium it feels so light. very similar to a fellowship blades Gaboon. I cannot recommend this ballot song enough if you are a fan of ultra lightweight or if you are coming from plastic balisongs in want to have a similar feeling titanium butterfly knife. also if you've read this far you might have noticed I'm interchanging butterfly knife in Balisong. Tell me what you think about that in the comments and which is the correct term. I super care and will respond to you. anyways big question was this worth my money? well if we're being honest none of these toys are worth my money and it's just a giant expense for me So easy answer is no it was not worth my money but that's not to say that it's not accurately priced or a well-made balisong. That's just me fully recognizing that I have purchased too many of these damn things and when you really lay it down knives this expensive that are made for flipping purposes are just trying to fine tune your preference. You have no need for these objects 🤘👍 Blake did a great job on this however and you should try to get in on the drop he's doing in a week or so if this is something that interests you and you want to spend some money. lastly I think we all can agree it was an inside job. iykyk.

I got one as well I like the weight of it for my wrist I broke it pretty good skating awhile back and I can flip this Bali all day no problem. definitely is a different feel and sound but I really love it. I’m liking the neutral weights at the moment flows really nice

It's the most different balisong I own. The looks are the only thing that is similar. Totally unique feel in my collection.

wow your aerials are getting good. What i want to know however is if this isn't one of the cooler looking knives you have i want to know which ones are the cool ones to you? That one looks really sick to me.

I really like the anodization job Blake did on this, It's more just that the design is not anything as unique as the Nakiri. That being said it has a very unique feel in hand in part because of how lightweight it is but also because of the placement of the cutouts. I think my favorite is still the Nakiri. I also recently acquired a MachineWise Totori trainer and I like the handles quite a bit but something about the weight that is still throwing me off even though it is a fantastic flipper.

How does that one compare to the Frankenforge Voltaic? They seem like they might be similar.

Not similar at all. There is nothing like this balisong in my collection tbh. Super unique.

I really like the look of Blake’s other knives (especially the Nakiri), but this one just REALLY doesn’t do it for me at all

Nakiri is probably my favorite balisong to flip in my collection. Wish he had stuck with it 🤷‍♀️
