Do you recommend to dorm in csulb because I start college in the fall and planing to go to csulb but can’t decide whether or not to dorm?
@BrookeBolin6 жыл бұрын
I definitely would dorm! I think that it's truly an amazing experience and a super cool way to be more involved with the school! Plus you get to meet so many wonderful people!! If you want the true college experience I think you should try it out!

Hii, I'm going to be a freshman this fall. Just wondering if you still recommend for people to wait to buy their books until after we've attended the class? Just worried I won't have my books in time or something lol.

I live in LA and i was planning to see if i can stay in LA and drive to CSLB Do you think its possible to do this method or is it a better option to just stick with dorming
@BrookeBolin5 жыл бұрын
Hey! I commute everyday so I think it’s perfectly fine for you to do that! I personally think dorming is an amazing experience so that’s why even though I live relatively close to Long Beach, I decided to dorm my freshman year! It really all comes down to what will work best for you!

i'm starting my freshman year at csulb in literally 3 days i am terrified lol!! i'm wondering if you wished you had gotten involved with campus clubs and stuff your freshman year, because I really want to get involved and have been overthinking the idea of joining a sorority but I don't know if it would be too much with getting used to college and having a job
@BrookeBolin7 жыл бұрын
I am so sorry that I just saw this now! I really hope that everything starting off your semester went well! I also hope that you rushed because it truly was a very interesting experience haha! Balance is key when it comes to college, but it will all sort itself out :)
@iliketwilight10007 жыл бұрын
That's okay! I didn't end up rushing his year, but I think I'm going to next year. I decided that I should see how I balance my time now and that way if I do end up joining a sorority I won't be as overwhelmed (hopefully haha)
@BrookeBolin7 жыл бұрын
That is exactly what I ended up doing! And I am glad you made the best choice for you!!

How are the parties at Csulb?
@BrookeBolin6 жыл бұрын
The parties are okay! It just depends on where you go. Some places aren’t as fun as others but everyone has their own opinions on which are their favorites haha!

What about student loans?? I feel like I’m stressed when it comes to think about that
@BrookeBolin6 жыл бұрын
It honestly depends on your personal situation..ie. whether you live in or out of state, how much your parents make per year, etc. I wouldn't worry too much about them because they are easy to manage after college since they don't ask you to pay them off all at once, its a pretty good span of time. I would also talk to your counselor and your parents to help figure out what options work best for you!
@Sab81906 жыл бұрын
Can a parent come with you to SOAR?
@BrookeBolin6 жыл бұрын
unfortunately not! they are able to drop you off but not attend the full day!
