You really wanna tell me, instead of picking a dynamic looking miniature and little bit of kitbashing of a Spacemarine and fully committing to the 10 years of experience and perfecting your Black Templar Theme and using some of the surroundings you ALREADY used and painted too and put those 3 things together, you play with the idea of taking another titan, over what I recommend to you and is basically screaming "Do IT!!" I beg you, sincerely, think rational and paint the hell out of one Black Templar. You have a year to get a further grip on non metallic metal, heatstress on metal, weathering and griming.. Are you actually kidding me🧐🧐?? Please for the love of the Emperor, stay loyal to your Chapter and bring it to purchase the golden Demon on your serious attempt. Don't make me come over and hit you with Henry Cavill's private Codex Astartes and knock some sense into you.

James Taro (of Taro modelmakers) said his Golden Demon trophies had the paint flake off. He has pics on his Facebook (and probably others) that show how they're made. He took them apart to fix them up.

Yeah, the golden demon awards are usually touched up at show because of shipping damage to paint. Monday/Tuesday they were repairing them and had them taken apart on the loading dock to repaint the bases

Titans indeed have their own charm. I built and painted a Warhound a while ago and recently picked up a Warlord Titan. You spend weeks doing it and it's a different challenge than painting an army and it's a lot of fun. But it costs a lot. Not just the model itself, but also all the materials, epoxy glue, screws, wire and magnets if you like, etc. and of course a lot of paint and sprays. And once you know the pitfalls of assembly it's even more fun. Putting the Warhound together was a nightmare, but with the Warlord things were much easier, even though it's twice as big. When the thing is almost finished, it is actually overwhelming how good they look. Congratulations on the Golden Demon recognition. The next Warhound will definitely be awesome.

Congrats Jay and honestly your too humble... I spent the same time you did on Stumpy on a 15mm M1 Abrams tank(About 40mm long IRL) as came from pixel art and elmentry school art class to model painting and wanted to get it to look how I wanted... I failed expicly... though people still loved it and ended up spriping it to get my model back to try again when I have more skills... Like Jay 200 hours a model is kinjda normal if you want it to be at that level of quality and you did that to a GW titai which has insane flaws when it should have none... You an extremely talent ar'test as my grandpa says... so 100% doi it next time you have this in the bag!

You could add flag poles to the Titan, with old Knight triangle flags, it would give the model a more dynamic moving look. If you rezen the foot pole to look like mud and water running off the foot as it's lifted. Also your base might benefit from some lighter colours to help with depth. For GD you need to paint everything on the Base like it's your main. Awsome work... got me thinking time to lookup some FW models (Tau for me).
