Great job on this video! I learn a lot from you about books. Due to your suggestion, I also read and loved Piranesi. I wasn't sure what to think about the book during the first half but couldn't put it down during the second half. I love that you love books. I could tell you loved them even as a tiny baby!😉

I loved "Fried green tomatoes" and hated "The book thief". Some of my favourites: 84 charing cross road, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Small Things like These, Foster, A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, etc,ç. First time I read 102 books

🐛I'm so glad to see Tove Jansson's work in your honorable mentions. I'm still joyfully making my way through her Moomin books. She's such a beautiful writer, and yet is sadly not well known here in the States. P.S. **whispers** Her first name is pronounced like toe-vay.

I have been slowly buying my husband the Moomin books, and I really want to start reading them too! But next I'm excited to read The True Deceiver. I also think it's a shame she isn't more well known in the states. I never heard of her until I moved to the UK. They have Moomin stores here! Although, I did see some Moomin merchandise in a Barnes and Noble earlier this year, so that's something. I feel self conscious pronouncing it the Swedish way because I've only heard it said the way it looks in English. I've been torn between the two 😅

Well Done on making reading a ‘thing’ - I read at least 80 books a year without trying too hard. I know that if you read for half hour only a day, you can on average read over 40 books a year so even pencilling that time in could result in lots of good reads. Enjoy! Xx

I’ll be reading Practical Magic next month to get into the mood for Autumn based on your recommendation (I’m in the Southern Hemisphere). My favourite read (it was a reread) of 2024 was The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern. If you liked Piranesi so much, then you should give it a try!
