I just love the idea of an actual kinda competent villain (he poisons the water supply) gets increasingly mad cause all his plans back fired to a certain degree. Like its played a bit straighter than that trope usually is and that makes it that much funnier to me.

That the whole King Dragon universe has really taken off since it first got posted. I think given how it's become this whole continuity really enhances the anticlimactic punchline of defeating King Dragon with a halfhearted slap. A whole universe, with a colorful cast of characters, born from the ashes of a villain we knew nothing about other than his imperious demeanor and somewhat simple name. Life is funny.
