Totally agree about reef project. A big surprise that I like it as much as I do, really fun and engaging. Have only played it with two and it works pretty nice, looking forward to play it at three or four.

Foundations of Metropolis was a favorite first play of mine in September, and I also got to try a friend's copy of Trick Shot, which I enjoyed a lot.

I want Harvest and Cafe Barras pretty bad. My flgs has both. Dangerous. My favorite plays of September were Scholars of the South Tigris, which I played for the first time and it wasn’t as complicated as I thought. The other was Castles of Burgundy, which you introduced to me on BGA. It has instantly become a favorite for me and I see why it gets so much hype. Thank you Jenna!!😊

You should make a video on all the games you can play solo but also up to 6 players!!

My favourite games that I played for the first time in September: 4. Unsettled 3. Fractal 2. Windmill Valley 1. Inventors of the South Tigris All amazing!

This is a great list! I just played Unsettled for the first time two days ago and it was a great puzzle! How was Fractal? I was curious as it's been really under the radar! Played Wayfarers of the South Tigris but really interested in Inventors!
@laurencesingh3948Ай бұрын
@@default1390 Fractal was great! Similar feel to TI4 and Eclipse but the combat is really unique in that there are no dice involved. So, it's more about the configuration of your units in a sector (which determines which combat cards are available to you) and reading your opponent to know when to play the right card. For every offensive combat card, there is a defensive one that directly counters it. But the cards can also be upgraded if you research the correct technologies. The combat system was the most unique and enjoyable part; if you want a break from dice. Wayfarers is my favourite of the South Tigris trilogy and my #2 game of all-time. It's more of a tableau builder where Inventors is more of an engine builder. And Wayfarers is more open-ended while Inventors provides a little more direction and path.

I have wanted Le Fantome De l’Opera for a long time. I regret not getting it when it came out years ago and was available. A riff off the Mr. Jack series.

Have you tried Kronologic Paris? We just played two games of it last weekend and enjoyed it.

Fantome is basically a copy of Mr. Jack

I liked playing Harvest but it made me wish I had a blueberry muffin every time I played. 😅 I’ll have to come prepared next time. Have you played Let’s Go To Japan? 😊
