10 records, and two honorable mentions. Not too bad. This video is SUPER long though. Sorry!
Bad Brains, Youth Of Today, SS Decontrol, and more!

Nice video! I think Can I Say is one of the best hardcore records too! Perfect album!! The best part of the SSD debut is the cover photo. I remember seeing an original on the wall at a shop going for $75. It sat there for a couple of years. I always wanted it but that was crazy money in 1990-91. Dug your choices, but my list would have to have Victim in Pain up at the top. That record cleaned everybody’s clock! Total hardcore!! Have a good one, Jon

Can I Say is one of the greats. But no Government Issue (Joy Ride, Fun Just Never Ends, self-titled, You)? Die Kreuzen’s first? Milo Goes to College? Gray Matter’s Take it Back? Naked Raygun’s All Rise? Discharge’s Hear Nothing See Nothing…? Etc. But still, great job with the video.

I could only pick ten! I will say, if you look at my videos and find my "Top 10 Punk" video, Naked Raygun and the Descendents make appearances in that one.

I know, I’m kinda late to the game here with a comment, but I’m still playing…ketchup…wink. Totally on board with the offerings here in this video…Bad Brains, rules nations! If I could add…? The Exploited “Punks Not Dead”…just because, you know…that’s kinda what was IN my ears…and occasionally…still is!

Yeah, that’s kinda f’d up about the weed and note. I think HR has grown up since then though. “Don’t Blow No Bubbles” was a bad idea. Bad Brains is one of the few bands that I collected the entire vinyl discography. It took about 20 yrs to track em all down. lol Those are some killer records, man! I’m from MA and bought a copy of that SS Decontrol record in the early 90’s at Taang records in Cambridge. I lost it along with a lot of my first collection in a fire from a lightning strike on my old house. I lost a ton of now super desirable records, but no need to dwell on the past.

Totally agree think I skipped a weed dept myself when in the day not proud but we all grow up my favourite vinyl is live CBGB cuz it has a Rasta rainbow colours thru it sounds good to hr wasn't singing with them when I saw them I think it was the guy out of faith no more it was still awesome not my favourite band ever but definitely up the top peace and love lloydy

Good choices. But you don't have my top 3 all time HC albums...lol...---Bad Brains debut, Minor Threat (the two EP's on 1 LP) and Jerry's Kids Is This My World. I think Black Flag's Damaged, Circle Jerk's Group Sex and a Bad Religion album (tough to puck one--How Could Hell Be Any Worse is a monster) all deserve the highest praise. One very little known record (only on CD) that I think is among the very best is Bob Evans' Adult World.

@@marklloyd7159 I first met them in 1983. We stayed with Tom Robert’s (Pig Champion) when we got a New Year’s Eve gig with the Wipers (Another underrated great band). Tom was a large guy even back then. We drank all night and he slept in a recliner, Hank Williams blaring loud as fuck. Saw them another time in Eugene at a basement that was called “the vatican”. It was really just a basement in some shitty house that threw shows. The floor flooded, so people got a bunch of pallets and that was the new floor. The bottom four steps into the basement were missing, and it was quite the spectacle seeing poison idea drag their Marshall’s AND their fat asses up and down the stairs. Maybe 100 people crammed into a shitty basement, braving electrocution, to see them. Great punk rock memory. Eugene was where they filmed the movie @animal house” and they used to throw shows in that basement too. The last gig I saw there was Raw Power from Italy. That was 1986

Err... Hardcore is a type of electronic music closely related to hardhouse over here. Didn't expect it to be about that other type of hardcore lol

haha... I've heard of some EDM being referred to as "hardcore" but I have no idea what makes it hardcore. I think hardcore punk has a decade or two on hardcore dance music.

I never got too hung up on Punk and Hardcore labels. I just called everything Punk. I need to check out that Corrosion Of Conformity record. I want to get The Kids Will Have Their Say but originals are too expensive. I don't think it is a great record and there are so many bootlegs. So I've just stayed away. Good to hear it is being reissued. I prefer the 1st 7Seconds album.

@@6AM_YT Yeah, recent reissues from few years ago sold out already... Kaaos could be still available. Hopefully Puke'n'Vomit reissues these. Those Propaganda ones have been super. I have the Bastards ones, because others still in original 80s pressings. If interested of Finnish hc stuff, check my channel. There is a lot stuff about it. Best.

Complaining about bad production of the C.O.C. record? Can you even say you like hardcore? This guy has no business talking about hc at all.

Lots of early hardcore records have good production. All the early Dischord records sound great. All the releases on Mutha records sound great. "Eye For An Eye" sounds like it was recorded on a cassette player. I'm fine with raw sounding punk and hardcore records, but hearing those songs on "Six Songs" make you realize how great those songs are and that just doesn't translate on "Eye For An Eye".
