@B.LEE.DbrianleedurfeeREVIEWS3 жыл бұрын
I really like that series.
@tricky20583 жыл бұрын
I love that series. Now, I will say Speaks the Nightbird starts off a little slower than the rest of the books in the series, but it is well worth it. McCammon sets the scene beautifully. This was the first book of his that I have read, and I had no idea he was a big horror author prior to that. Then, I was floored when I discovered he lives here in Birmingham, AL. After reading the Corbit series, I have branched out and read the rest of his work. Great stuff!

Wow I just read Fevre Dream and loved it, and immediately picked up Armageddon Rag as a musician. Also loved the inclusion of the Throat, I think Koko is a masterpiece but that one can’t be far behind! Straub is arguably the best prose writer in horror IMO, but Simmons and McCammon can come pretty close at times. Excellent list as usual, I’m glad I found your channel.

@@bmoneybby My TBR stays unmanageable lol. To be honest I wasn’t expecting much out of Fevre Dream besides a fun read, and I ended up tearing through it in a couple days-it far passed my expectations. I hate to add yet another to your TBR lol, but if you are a musician you absolutely MUST read The Five by Robert McCammon. It is absolutely a 5/5 read

Brian, have your read the Joe Pitt series by Charlie Huston? It works better as an audiobook as the written book sometimes gets confusing as to who is speaking but LOVED this series. The Stand still ranks as my favorite all around book. Just read it for the first time this year. Was kind of turned off by the TV series. Nothing like the book.
