Judging from what you've shown here, I wouldn't exactly know what your definition of "J-rock ballad" is, but if it's more mellow kind of song, I quite like Baretta by GazettE.Cage by Dir En Grey and if applicable...Actuate Eden by Phantasmagoria. I may be waaay off on what japanese ballad is, but those are the least "hardcore" of my favs. :]
