Very interesting to see Bokurano at 8. It was a good read, definetly didn't connect to the first half compared to second half. Maison Ikkoku at 5 is shocking. Subjectively, love the series. Can't see it in my top 20 personally due to some writing and storytelling issues. Overall love to hear your thoughts as always. 🙇

Jojo's Part 2 is also my favorite because of the character development and emotions. I read up to Part 4 (taking a break from the series). I keep hearing to Gantz and Berserk. I'll add those on my manga read list. Great video and thanks!

i respect ur opinion, because there was a time battle tendency was my fav part and loving any jojo part in general is already a W, but personally i think part 2 is one of the most forgettable part as you go on watching/reading the series, and it is kinda carried by the pillar men imo.. i hope you will enjoy the parts from 4-8 because i think those are way more memorable and written better + the art style change is also pleasing to see! i hope you enjoy the series!!

Part 4 I had mixed feelings (don't want to spoil anything but they had me at a certain point and was surprised that particular plot got dragged on). But I will definitely continue the series!! Currently reading Alice in Borderland and Tokyo Ghoul Re: (given as a gift; waiting to finish this series before going back to JJs)

Just finished Pluto, I finally bought it because of this video and wow, it’s so good, I loved it. For only 8 volumes there’s so much story there, if feels like a series that’s twice as long, the pacing is amazing, the characters are incredible and had me caring so much for the robots. It’s now my 3rd favourite manga, it’s so good.

Battle Royale is a classic no reason to defend it. And it definitely had a very rich back story for nearly every character, so I'm not sure what story you were reading. Not sure about the translation, but it was a great adaptation of the novel. One of the best series of all time.

Yea Berserk is my number 1, and its waaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of everything else, it’s without compare. Best story ever written, it’s so good. Then Gantz is my second favourite, the Buddha arc is just amazing, I was just frantically reading the pages at breakneck speed, it’s bonkers.

Berserk is such in a class of its own..much more than a manga, it's just a piece of art. Vinland Saga/Vagabond were my next best until I read this beautiful clusterfuck that is Dorohedoro

Time flies another gone by ! I thought you were going to include Emma I was depressed when you said you sold your Beastars series it was all the rage at the height of coronavirus as were the prices of boxed sets. I’m stuck with Beaststars now .

Finally someone having Dragon Ball(im including Z, all the 42 volumes) on his/her top 5 manga, it is the read of my childhood, ive growth up with this manga/comics, one the best story and adventure of all time.

I'm definitely in the "yeah, go girl!" part of the audience when it comes to Battle Royale. Absolute cult classic! So hard to collect though... I'm still missing some volumes but I'm glad I even have most of them haha. Also, it wasn't "one of the first" it was THE FIRST (well the novel the manga is based on that is)! This is the reason why Battle Royales are called Battle Royale!

Definitely a nice list some of the pics that you had on your list I have read and some of them I haven't even gotten around to yet Or I haven't even finished completely Like berserk t mostly I'm taking breaks because I'm also reading the series) gantz ( I'm just waiting for gantz last omnibus too kind of come out. So I can finish up that series but I've been you know reading the omnibuses with that particular series and it's great because it's a great series I like it cuz you said it's crazy I do feel the same way about that one.)And even though I've watched Fullmetal alchemist I am trying to get the manga in its original format so kind of have it in my collection. But yeah definitely some of these I'm going to definitely check out because I've never gotten around to them or even read.

everyone that I know tells me to check that series out Bokurano. I mean my one friend read the series from start to finish because he got lucky that he knew someone that basically had the all the trades to that one. My friend Isaiah said it blew him away and it was just a staunching how not a lot of people are really talking about that particular series cuz I keep on seeing people on KZbin and in my personal life like have love for that series

As someone who's never read the big 3 of seinen, this would be my top 10: 1. Monster 2. Goodnight Punpun 3. Rurouni Kenshin 4. 20th CB 5. I sold my life for ten thousand yen 6. Chainsaw Man 7. Sunny 8. Kaiju no. 8 9. Blame! 10. A Girl on the Shore (i know) Loved to see yours! FMA and Vinland Saga have to be my favourite animes, but I still have to check most of your recommendations!

I got to go out to my nans to pick up volume 3 of chained soldier, volume 12 of call of night and volume 11 of mashle magic and muscles , volume 11 and 12 if dont toy with me miss nagatoro. And i should soon have in volume 6 of dont toy with me miss nagatoro and kiju#8volume 5. Plus on the 31 ill be ordering volume 14 if dont toy with me miss nagatoro and volume's 3,4,5,6 of undead unluck and maybe a few other volume's of manga .

I haven't read a lot of Manga (I love comics more) but one I'll put up there as one of my favorites besides Berserk, and Monster. Is My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. Now I actually hate MHA, I think it's one of the worst anime (haven't read the manga) I've ever seen. But Vigilantes is almost a perfect Japanese Superhero Comic. The main character is not very smart but he does everything he can to help others. Even if it isn't fighting crime. The side characters and even the villain's are great. It's such a fun story and at times it gets boring (like very comic/manga) but it truly left an impression on me in the same way Berserk did. Is it as amazing as Berserk? No, not even close. But I love it, and I hopefully always will.

Battle Royale is a great one I agree, not in my top 10 but pretty high in my ranking. Bokurano don’t know about this one but you make me want to read it ! Pluto is on my wish list, really need to read this one asap. JoJo great serie but I like part 3 much better than part 2. Gantz is fantastic, shame the omnibus are…well bad. Maison Ikkoku is so good. I grow up with the anime at the end of the 80’s, this manga is a must read ! I agree the edition is very nice. Dragon Ball is an other one I grow up with (the anime), this is classic, in my top 10 too. Fullmetal Alchemist is an other great one, must read for sure. Vinland saga is my number 2 too (attack on titan is maybe number 2 and Vinland 3…or maybe not 😂). Berserk is my favorite too ! I’ve been reading it for more than 20 years, this is, to me, a masterpiece ! Thanks for the video ! In my top ten I would have (not in order) Slam Dunk, city Hunter, Frieren, Peleliu, Bride’s story, Attack on titan, Is, Dragon Ball, Fist of the North Star and of course Berserk !!!

Quite shocked by the DB praise. I read it for the first time recently and I think it aged...a lot. 3/4 of it is filled with old man perving on Bulma and I personally just find Dr Slump funnier and OP better for the adventure mood.

It has amazing fight sequences and a great art style but a lot is stopping me from putting it anywhere near my top 10. That's obviously only my opinion.

vinland saga portray its themes in a very shallow overly idealistic way and its very blunt and preachy whereas berserk and vegabond potrayal of themes is far more subtle and nuance . vinland saga is definitly the weakest out of the big three seinen
