Bill Goldberg? Wwe? Hehe. Also for chest... I highly recommend the converge bench press machine. They are not expensive. But that angle makes a big difference. It also feels more natural. For dumbbell chest presses. Its nice to superset....with lighter dumbells(press or flys) after heavy dumbells imo. Will develop/refine chest development. Overall thanks for the video. Another great video man! Cool to hear how much you enjoy shrugs on the Multipress. Ordered the pendulum per your recommendation and just waiting to sell a piece to make room for the multipress. How would you rate the prone supported row on the Multipress? Is it in your top 5 for row movements? Side note.. one of the few things I disagree with you on, I never liked prone rows on the rhino! Just seems awkward to get fairly heavy full ROM without some sketchy movements to get back into a bench.
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Chest supported rows on the MP are great as long as you’re not super tall / have long arms (if so, you may not be able to get a full ROM). On the Levergym, the bench can be disconnected if more space is needed. Great to hear you got the Pendulum. My bench may be the reason rows on the Rhino work so well for me; I have to use stall mats as spacers for a full ROM between the bench and Rhino, but it works great. Also, I meant to mention in this video, chest supported rows works equally as well on the Levergym’s cable system and / or lever arms.

Alright HGHR After nearly half a year of working full time hours again I have came to the conclusion I need another gym makeover My powerlifting/strength bro split hybrid days are over, I have to go back to just the plain old hypertrophy bro split. I also have largely binned barbell squats, still get lower back compression the next day, so I need to cut my losses on my power rack/lat tower and find a better option I have found an amazing lat pulldown/seated row combo machine and that will be coming in likely next year, but finding a versatile rack to train out of first is the challenge The IM2000 is definitely a contender, the fact you can do belt squats and leg presses on it is a huge plus, plus I'm preferring incline presses over flat bench at the moment and that its small footprint would suggest it's a good long-term option if I have to downgrade. The main con is I'd struggle to OHP out of it due to my height (probably my favourite barbell exercise at the moment), though I did buy a pair of portable squat stands for that exercise to drag outside I do think it'll be the right decision, just annoying it'll be more money spent seeing I pretty much have all the free weights I'll ever need now
@redwhiteandblueblood
@redwhiteandblueblood Жыл бұрын
IM2000, the pulldown row combo and a bigger mass storage unit would be what I'd need The IM2000 would also house a large majority of my trigrip plates, so it'll work well for storage too Does the plate storage interfere with your old red bench when you're benching out of the smith? Or there's enough space for the bench there?
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews Жыл бұрын
@@redwhiteandblueblood hey! I can’t not leg press in the IM 2000…the vertical press has never agreed with my lower back, hopefully it won’t be the same for you. Belt Squats are okay, but not the most ideal unless the weight is light and going for higher reps. I just went and measured: there is 11.5” of open space between the plates…my red bench just fits. The reverse band may be helpful for flat press, but yeah, my favorite press on the IM 2000 is an incline press.
@redwhiteandblueblood
@redwhiteandblueblood Жыл бұрын
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews higher rep belt squats could do the job I remember you saying the line of drive for it was good in your IM2000 reviews I think worse case with the leg press I could still do calf raises with it Anyways, thanks for the reply mate 👍 sorry to hear about your health issues and that you're dealing with them
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews Жыл бұрын
@@redwhiteandblueblood the footplate is great for donkey-style calf raises. For belt squats, the line of drive is better than some lever belt squats…getting in and out of position is not the easiest thing, but you may be able to go a step further than I did and rig up a catch for the bar when getting in and out of position. Thanks so much. Luckily, I don’t consider what I’m dealing with too troublesome, I’m just experimenting with ways to eat to avoid going on medicine.
@redwhiteandblueblood
@redwhiteandblueblood Жыл бұрын
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I guess I'll wait and see with the IM2000 if I do get it with these things, I did see a SSB hack with you holding onto the smith bar doing SSB Hatfield squats, looked ok too I have been looking around for the last month on identifying something for September/October when I look at moving on my current rack and purchasing something, problem is bigger machines are more expensive, have bigger footprints and have far more cables/pulleys/maintenance issues, the IM2000 is smaller, still versatile with plenty of attachments, basically maintenance free and still offers a good weight storage solution, so it is ticking alot of boxes still at a middle of the range price. I was thinking of an attachment half rack with jammer arms also, problem is most options are either too expensive for what I'd use them for (Rogue for example), or the jammer arms are too heavy/awkward to move around, or the rack is too tall for my current set-up, plus Ironmaster is a great brand for the home user, so I'd like to have regular involvement using their products again. Good to hear fiddling with the diet is helping 👍

100kg with ease… I’m like ‘dang dude!’ 😂 Then I remembered you guys aren’t metric. * Definitely not easy to keep up with - I’m always going between the two on my channel for those stateside. Yeah, 45kg is pretty good bro. I’m slowly getting into dumbbell bench. Surprisingly, I’m currently enjoying incline Rail (Smith) Wanting to get a system for home, but everything is so pricey. Been watching your Powertec reviews… … seems potentially Lever-gym, but not sold on the flat being more like decline. Ah, to have a billion to spend on my own custom equipment. Lol! Even Prime, Panatta, etc aren’t quite there. Panatta actually has a cool concept with their iso lateral bench, starts higher, but then flips back to allow full range of motion
@HomeGymHacksandReviews

Agreed. There are so many options from so many companies. Luckily, most everything is pretty decent…even the budget companies. Luckily, I don’t think anyone is going to see a major difference in results from using commercial over residential as long as basic lifting principles are being observed.
@pathtooptimalhealth

@@HomeGymHacksandReviews my thing is the comfort aspect. I’m ‘new’ to isolateral bench (well, discovered it in old age) and only used our gyms home brand. While I like it, I can see the potential for ‘issues’ with range of motion… …feel of grip and placement. Wish I could try these things out before committing. (I’m in Eastern Europe) Thanks to your videos it seems that you legit have no issues other than height on the levergym bench. Kinda leaning to the larger multi gym…due to your review about it and the regular bench being more in-line to the flat bench. * Concerned about the lat pull-down though as you said it didn’t feel as good as the cables. (Though the concept of not having cables is a plus…after seeing the mess and maintenance hassle at our gym) One last thing, kinda odd the 300lb max for lat… Almost everyone, including myself, use 150kg (330lb) …me for 15 reps of 3 sets. Maybe this is harder than the cable pull-down we have? Honestly have no clue about these things. (Grew up on free weights) Thanks for you time and chat… It’s appreciated, not much info out there on the Powertec. (You work for them?) 😜 One last thing, awesome you work out with your dad.

@@pathtooptimalhealth thanks so much. I’m an affiliate for Powertec but most of my Powertec reviews and Powertec equipment purchases were before that. Yeah, trying them out beforehand would be extremely helpful. Maybe you can find a used one to try before purchasing. As for the Levergym’s cable, it’s about a 2:1 ratio. So the 300 pound capacity is more like 150 pounds. The one at your gym may also be a 2:1. Most people can’t rep out 330 pound lat Pulldowns on a 1:1 machine. I’ve never owned the multi system, but I’ve had 3 Multipresses and 2 Levergyms. Thanks again. I hope you are happy with whichever one you pick.

Not that I think are very worthwhile. I’ve tried leg presses on a smith machine, on the Levergym, and with the Henny Attachment and barbell and I can’t recommend any of them. Getting a foam roller putting it behind your back, holding onto dumbbells, and performing a hack squat would be decent and Bulgarian split squats if you are limited on equipment.
