So with all the releases this year these 3 have stood out.
#3 - Supra Enzo
I was one of the biggest fans of the original Supra so this is actually a shock to me. When I first threw it I was taken back by how much more traction it had without defined friction to throw at. The original was good but it was allergic to oil and had to stay in the bag till later in the block. What the original lacks the Enzo has in droves. My only issue was the response is sometimes too much. Almost forcing me farther left earlier to accommodate for it. This ball still gets plenty of lane time and is solid at number 3 for 2021.
#2- PRIDE
I wanted to hate this ball. I didn't think a "benchmark" asym was the way to dethrone the venom shock... I WAS WRONG. Since it's release I've drilled 3 and feel like those 3 out perform 6 of the Venom shocks I've punched up. The one in the video is my favorite, drilled pin down and 6 inches from my PAP. The way this ball responds to different hand positions is incredible. Its an asymmetrical I can use on the fresh but stay in longer due to the overall predictability and abundance of continuation. This one had a chance at the top spot but being a higher rev player solids, even this one, have a limited amount of time before I'm so far left that I need cleaner covers.
#1- IRON FORGE 😍
This is my ball. I've wanted a faster response shell on the Detonator core since I threw the Original, now we have it.
I have had plenty of people ask me why this ball is considered our fastest down lane but seems a lot slower off the spot when I throw it.. well the one you see in my videos is pin down 6in from my pap, I also hit the cover with surface to get it to slow down even more. It has such a heavy roll through the pins that shots that normally don't carry, find a way to strike. I'm finding that's the best part about this particular ball. I get an Uber clean ball through the front part of the lane but depending on my hand position I can get the ball to roll off the pattern or jackknife. I also have one drilled pin up that boomerangs down lane but I find myself drawn to the shape of the pin down.
This is 1000% my favorite ball of 2021.
Can't wait to see what's in store for 2022.
