I think You and I absolutely agree on the fantastic Talk Talk.. Their last 3 albums stand out to me, but obviously Love every single second of their entire recordings. R.I.P. Mark Hollis. Chamelions were New to me 3 or 4 years ago, but WoW what a great band indeed.

Love some of these choices. Elbow (seen them twice live) - "Build a Rocket Boys" shades it narrowly for me. Bowie (seen him twice live) - Scary Monsters would be my choice. Tears for Fears - I think they never surpassed their brilliant debut album "The Hurting". Talk Talk spot on with "The Colour of Spring" which was their sweet spot imo. Nice to see Harry Styles in there, Damien Rice and Television. I would have loved to have seen New Order included with "Power Corruption & Lies" , The The "Soul Mining", Cocteau Twins " Blue Bell Knoll", Depeche Mode "Violator" but still love your Top 40.

Great stuff! Colour of Spring is definitely in my Top 10. I would also include XTC's Nonsuch. I find it hard to put together a "Greatest of" list because my taste has changed over the last 6 decades. @@ClassicVinylTop10s-yj5mt Yes. I've got all the Talk Talk studio albums, a few bootlegs, plus Mark's solo album which as you said is in a similar vein to Laughing Stock. I like all of their work tbh, but completely agree with you that Colour of Spring is their best. I remember in the late 1980s, a varied group of musicians were asked for their favourite albums of the 1980s and a number of them mentioned Colour of Spring. I think it's a perfect album. Their later work really pushes the envelope but I listen to them less often.

@@ClassicVinylTop10s-yj5mt It sounds super HF, so maybe look at wifi boosters. phone etc, otherwise maybe there it could be a lot simpler. Id you are in an building which has all been fed off of one line then maybe all of your gear is getting feedback from a very bad A/C source. You can get filters for this.
