So, everyone keeps asking me to do an anime openings ranking and I think now it is about time we did! So here we go! I reached out to Kuma and asked if they wouldn't mind putting a list together with me and gathering their community to vote and place 40 anime openings that I gave them to see what order they would all rank them and HERE WE ARE! The final list!

thank you so much for including Reimei on this list... also, I agree with Vivid Vice being the best of the JJK openings! not that the others aren't good, but that one has a very specific feel to it that I think stands out from the rest pretty significantly. and it's so cool to see Naked Hero by Vaundy rank number 2. I loved this opening so much, especially given how it reflects onto the show itself. and god, yeah, as hard as it is to pick a favorite Vinland Saga opening... River is it. that and the ending song from that same part of the show are such an absolute power matchup, especially in the context of the story. I can't wait for you to get there... I hope you'll consider listening to them with the episode, at least once when we get there. also, I'm loving some of the throughlines in the types of singers that are featured in this list, like the sort of Cold Rain/Man With a Mission/Survive Said the Prophet tone works its way through, and I'm really enjoying it. at some point an endings list would also be cool... like, Hibana by the Sixth Lie and Red:Birthmark by Aina the End... there are quite a few that would be so immediate.

@@GOTGames true... it's hard to remember what endings have even gotten a reaction at this point. the first stuff that comes to my mind are: -like several of the Chainsaw Man EDs tbh... they're so varied that it doesn't feel like cheating to pull multiple -the second Made in Abyss ED is gorgeous -the Call of the Night ED is just as good as the OP, if not better -the Vinland Saga EDs are just as solid as the OPs -Dr. Stone has some really amazing EDs -you had said you actually preferred several of Dorohedoro's EDs to the OP, and seemed to really enjoy them -Heavenly Delusion has a really excellent ED -Oshi no Ko's ED features Queen Bee so like... enough said. and while I can't remember if you checked them out or not, Ranking of Kings and Beastars also have some really phenomenal endings. that, combined with Golden Kamuy's endings by the Sixth Lie, and that one Witch from Mercury ending, sounds like a decent beginning for consideration.

Hello! You mentioned part way through the video that you weren't sure how well received your top 40 would be or how confident you were with the selection, so let me tell you this, I have done 64 party ranks such as this one, and upon reviewing the larger projects and my average score in them, this video was my 5th highest average score ever (8.48/10), so yeah this was a FIRE list...just not digimon haha.

Needs a part 2 list. Also Digimon (eng ver) could have gotten a 5 but justice for the OG japanese version: "Butter-Fly" by Kouji Wada that was sidelined by the eng ver. He was producing songs for Digimon up 'til his final days. Here are my 5 + 2 classic recommendations for your next OP & ED reactions: 1. (2004) Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha OP & ED (with 5 series, 4 movies and 2 games; OPs & some movie EDs sung by that era's anisong queen: Mizuki Nana) 2. Watched the video, commented on Kuma video, already familiar with party rank system (Mersin, Kuma, Meschi videos) and i am glad you are discovering that type of anime content. Love seeing quick rise in average points. Only 4 openings in and average is over 7. That is actually hard to achieve because there is always someone who loves shoujo openings or idol openings or drama openings. I have seen rankers giving zero to TK. 10 openings in and average is over 8. Really good picks. Well 4 openings were exactly 8/10. 26:00 What do you mean? That opening is top 5 most popular openings in last 5 years. Every reactor reacted to it, every top list has that opening. You ain't consuming enough anime content if you don't know how Minami and this opening blow up. How you didn't yet react to Kuma's top 100 bands and singers?

Justice for Digimon! That English opening should be a 7 or 8. The Tamers remix is the best version of it, so I'd give it a 8 or 9. The Digimon Frontier original English song is definitely a 10 though. If you haven't listened to it, you should.
