My favorite Amber fragrance is most often not thought of as an Amber/Oriental: Chypre Palatin by MDCI. Its a complex scent profile that cuts across multiple genres. To me, the Chypre and Amber accords battle for control of its identity. And it also has fruity and floral facets that add complexity. Its a bit of a chameleon. But for me, when considering the entire life cycle of the wear, its primarily a complex Amber/Oriental scent. The Amber accord is at the very top of the accord stack as listed on its Fragrantica page, which I think is accurate. By contrast, the Amber accord for Desired by Elisire is only listed as 4th most prominent accord in its scent profile.
