I hate it when I don't pay attention to certain images sometimes. But that's okay, sometimes a couple can mean more than two depending on one's opinion.

In my opinion, they should have released Mike in ERTL because he's such an underrated Miniature Engine alongside Jock.

I Agree. It's so odd that they only released Jock and Frank in Ertl, and never did the 3 steamies! I mean, they are both nice characters and Jock has never been made in physical form before or since, but I guess they didn't prioritize certain RWS Characters as they hadn't appeared on TV yet, at this point. But at least they made THREE of the Culdee Fell Engines, that's awesome!

To me the number 1 canceled ERTL ITEM IS:TOP HAT/SIGRID,ON the thomas note i agree with mike what makes it all the more ood is that Jock/Frank both got model yet appered only in 1 book whereas the rest of the Arsdale in 2 main roles and 3 side roles odd that they made the moreobscure ones,Also Trev i guess the reasons why Agnes and "Aunt' Jemima dont have faces is because that they were complicated and would be made in factories.Thank you.....

I always found ERTL's choice to make Jock and Frank odd as they were only in the second of the two books on the Arlesdale Railway.

Those are just a few cancelled ERTL models. It may be disappointing for some old Thomas fans in the 2000s, but for me, I was more into collecting characters from the classic TV series.

I think when ertl heard that hit bought Thomas and made gimmicky characters and locations, they just went, ‘NOPE’. And took their lead. (But honestly, I’d love to see a ertl molly.)

While I do prefer Take Along, sometimes I do kinda wish that ERTL continued because their later models were truly excellent. Who knows what else ERTL could had excelled at. I nearly didn’t know if ERTL Mike was real because prior to his reveal, the only evidence I could find was in NorthWestern04’s fact video on Mike. Looks like he was right all along. Anyway after seeing it, I was inspired to make customs of Rex and Bert on Deviantart, now I’m planning to make more ERTL edits.

Really interesting of these canceled Ertl models despite being prototypes it would have been really cool if they released it in 2005 during the 60th anniversary. It was such a pity that the range was discontinued in 2004, and I had collected a few Ertl models since 2020 the items that I had as follows Thumper, Culdee, Godred, Lord Harry and Catherine If I had a few extras of said characters from the mountain railway, it would be a good opportunity to make them as other characters, and if I ever need narrow gauge engines to ride on flatbeds then I do need to use the Ertl counterparts rather than the Trackmaster ones that I currently have.

This video reminded me of an Ertl train I have that I think it’s pretty rare and never appeared in the show. it doesn’t have a name; just the number 16. I didn’t grow up with this line of trains, but I think I got it from a flea market or something. I know it’s obviously not a discontinued model, but the topic of obscure trains made me remember that I had it.

Just found your channel! ERTL were the only Thomas toys I ever collected, and I still have most of the ones from my childhood. I would love to see the Truck, the two Skarloey voaches and Mike made, makes you wonder why not.

I’m a Thomas Take Along/Take N Play collector, since I was born in the mid 2000s and have never collected ERTL. I think Thomas ERTL is a good toy line, but not the best in quality.

Trevor you might be upset with me if I say this but in my opinion if pt boomer appeared in TATMR it would make diesel 10 a pretty useless character .He was already digging into Burnett's workshop and he ma have fallen into the tram steamer with diesel 10 but there is nothing stopping him from trying to break back into the workshop
