I’m so glad I found this! I love Christian fiction and it’s mostly all I read! I don’t know if I’ll be a big help though bc I’m guess the veneers i ready are a bit different than yours and that’s awesome! I love being inspired to go out of my box! And I totally understand there are definitely books you got to weed through. My OG authors are Frank Peretti and Karen Kingsbury. I do enjoy blackstock and Colleen cobble. My two newest favorite are Tammy L Gray and Nicole Deese! atonement child from Francine Rivers is a amazing! So is her book master piece! I look forward to more of your videos!

Yay! I’m so glad you’re here! I love that everyone can have different tastes and interests! I’m more of a classics person but I do like some from all different genres! I’ve actually never read any Francine Rivers or Karen Kingsbury! Maybe I’ll try one out!

If you're looking to explore in the Christian historical genre, I would recommend Roseanna M White. Specifically, her Shadows Over England and Codebreakers series. Both take place in England during WWI. The Shadows Over England series follows three siblings who have grown up as orphans stealing for survival and end up being recruited to work for the government during the war. They cover topics such as where God is when life is a struggle, and if He truly loves everyone why do they suffer.

Enjoyed this video. Yes a lot of Christian books are the same in a lot of ways but with all you on You Tube finding different books with clean writing and leaning toward Christian ideals, we can find enough to read. Thank you for doing these videos.

I loved the Wingfeather Saga even as an adult! I really enjoyed the If I Run series so I’ll have to check out that other Terri Blackstock series. Have you read the Ravenwood Saga By Morgan L. Busse? It’s a really good christian fantasy.

I want to reread My Heart Remembers soon! I remember enjoying it as well. One of her new books, “The Librarian of Boone’s Hollow”, is one of my all time favorite CF books! 💕

Hi Haley! Great video! Thanks for the recs! I totally agree that most Christian fiction lacks depth. I just found the Raising Dragons series by Bryan Davis. I think you might enjoy it!

Thanks for the recommendations! I've never read any of the books you mentioned, tho there were a few I had heard about. I will certainly have to look into them. I am familiar with most of Frank Perretti's works, and a few of Ted Dekker's. Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins as well, mostly from the Left Behind series, which I am re-reading yet again. (Nice to see the Left Behind books on the shelf behind you). I've heard great things about Wing Feather Saga. I'm probably going to have to get my hands on that series soon.

I started with his Cooper Kids series when I was younger, moved on to the Veritas Project duology as I got a bit older, then on to his other works, like the Visitation, Monster, The Oath, and House. So I suppose I grew up with his books lol

I LOVE Wingfeather! i am 58 years old but this is one of my favorite shows. Thats right, there is an animated version of this on Angel now and it is fantastic. i can not wait to check out some of these other books! TY!

Lewis (all which I really enjoy), but do you have any suggestions for books or authors that are written for modern Christian men? Maybe similar to 'The Shack'? -David

I love the historical fiction by Brock & Bodie Thoene “tay-nee” . On the mountain of the Lord is set in current times and ties in to Biblical prophecy. Zion Covenant (Vienna Prelude) series about pre-WW2. AD Chronicles about the time of Jesus. And so many more! ❤❤❤❤

C.S. Lewis is not a christian. Aslan is the lion from muslim tradition. The land around the Caspian sea are muslim lands, hence prince caspian... And the creatures in the stories are muslim astrology oriented like a sagitarius and the faun figures. This is not christian, it's pagan!
