Wow, Angie! You are so thorough and detailed with your videos, blog, etc. It is very much appreciated. Have you ever thought of doing an anti-aging hand video for those of us who can't afford a hand rejuvenation procedure? My 30-year-old daughter just told me, "Mom, I always remember what you used to say all the time: You can always tell how old a woman really is by looking at her hands." Thanks for all you do for us!

I absolutely LOVE Loreal True Match and have tried many, many high end and drugstore foundations. I have dry/combo/sensitive 41-year-old skin :). I also love Almay Smart Shade Anti-Aging for everyday wear. I tried Maybelline Fit Me Dewy & Smooth and loved the way it looked in the mirror, but everytime I saw a photo, I was disappointed. It was just a little too dewy for me, despite the dry skin. My face looks flawless with the True Match, and it doesn't break me out.

I love the CYO Lifeproof Foundation! I agree the colors available are far too limited and favor the more olive skin tones. Hopeful they will increase their shade range and make some more colors for the pink/peach undertone gals like me. When I first tried it I was worried it would be too gray/ashy looking on me. I just used a damp beauty blender and it sheered it out so nicely, but also gave me the coverage I needed. I highly recommend a damp beauty blender with this foundation. I purchased #103 and #106. I've tried each color on their own and later mixed the two which works nicely for me. This morning I had an appointment (very early), and a nurse that I see often said WOW you look so much younger -- did you get anything done? I said no, but I did start using a new foundation this month -- she wrote down the foundation name and is getting it on her way home tonight. I do NOT use a primer with this foundation. I just use my Elta MD facial SPF under it.

Happy Friday, Angie! If you haven't already tried it, you should get the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation. I have visible pores in the nose and in the cheek and chin area and I swear this stuff blurs them out fantastically. It has nice light to medium buildable coverage you can wear with or without a primer. Sometimes I use a primer for a little extra glow but usually I don't. It's $46 but considering you're getting 1.4 oz. of product, that's a pretty good deal. I think you would love it.

Hi all.....:) I will be turning 56yrs old soon so watched your video with interest. I had never heard of Candid before seeing this so when I saw the product in Boots yesterday, I snapped the Candid concealer up. My mascara always smudges under my eyes (I have spent a fortune on many different brands that promise no smudge). Due to the covid situation, there are no testers in Boots so I took a gamble. I bought my usual well know brand and this one, then tried both concealers when I got home from work (after wiping my panda eyes down). The Candid concealer is absolutely amazing, it didn't exaggerate or sink into my fine lines, but the other brand instantly added 10 years on me!! I am looking forward to trying the foundation but I don't want to buy that until I can try the tester as don't want to buy the wrong colour. I would definitely recommend Revlon Candid xx

@@paganraven3034 Hello :) My perfect shade is usually a combination of 10 and 20 but most of the time I'm closer to 10. If you're looking at my avatar picture here, I'm wearing n.10 Unfortunately, for most Chanel foundations the shades 10 and 20 are very different. 20 is a lot darker than 10. In the winter my shade is 10 (it's quite pale), in the summer I'm closer to 20. I'm a huge fan of all Chanel foundations. Keep in mind that the different Chanel foundations have different shades. The explanation above applies to Perfection Lumiere Velvet (the foundation that Angie mentioned). I'm 10 in the winter and 20 in the summer; and I'm wearing n. 10 on the avatar photo. Angie, this has nothing to do with this video persay but it kinda does... I can’t thank you enough for sharing you favorite sunscreens!!! Most either bother my skin or is just a greasy mess, the flair up of my sensitive/reactive skin is mostly from chemical sunscreens in most skincare type of sunscreens, like moisturizers with sunscreen in it. So I’ve had the hardest time finding one that sits on my skin in just the right way, until now... I recently decided to give your recommendation of Australian Gold Tinted SPF 50 a try and OMG it’s perfection!!!!!!! The tint is a nice one, it doesn’t flair up my reactive skin and it dries down beautifully! I haven applied make up over it yet, but I imagine it will be just fine. I really really love it!! Thank you so much!!! It’s been a lifetime of searching and dealing with adverse reactions on my face each time, my reactions are seriously like chemical burns, angry, red and painful, and they don’t heal for like a week but then I’m left flaky and dry afterwards, it’s just been a real nightmare. This is like a dream come true!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I just can’t thank you enough!!! 😘

I want to love the Chanel velvet lumiere but it accentuates my texture and highlights dry patches I didn't know I have because I have extremely oily skin!

I love your videos! I've been watching for about a month now. Thank you for all this great work! I wanted to tell you I'm very happy with the Laura Mercier foundation primer and the Estee Laudee Double Wear. I'm 53 and these are working very nicely for me. I get lots of compliments on my skin.

I adore the CYO mixed with the new L’Oréal Freshwear!!
@jacquelinedahl24025 жыл бұрын
Thanks for you very informative video. So after watching this, I went online and ordered the CYO. I’m 70 y o and have been looking for my holy grail most of my life. As much as I’d like to use Chanel, Este Lauder etc. I simply can’t afford the high end products. So, when I saw the price of the CYO, I thought it was right up my alley. After it arrives and I’ve had the opportunity to ty it, I’ll let you know how I like it. Thanks for all you do to help us women make informed decisions.

I cannot find a better foundation than the CYO foundation. What a treasure!! The lightest color is my EXACT match with my skin tone and color. I just hope they keep this product around and don't raise the price!

Tarts concealer is the best. L’Oréal true match settles into lines. You know when you sit in your car at lunch in natural light. Lines for days with that one.

You look amazing! Can you make a video on what you recommend to do skin care/skin services (laser) wise in your 40’s to look as great as you do in your 50’s. Love your channel.

i bought the covergirl because it was one of your favorites and because i was looking for a matte foundation after all the tinted moisturizers i'd been using for years and was just tired of the tackiness. For me this works best mixing it with the charlotte tilbury wonderglow and applying with my fingers.The wonderglow gives it a nice slightly satiny finish and doesn't make it tacky or affect the wear time on me. I also put the rimmel stay matte powder (kathy aay beauty recommendation) over it and that doesn't make it look cakey or dry. This combo has become my holy grail...for no

Angie the problem I have been having lately is with wearing sunscreen with my foundation. The result is always kind of gunky look on my face., even with some of your recommended foundations. I prefer sunscreen that is NOT tinted. Could you please do a video is sunscreen that is best for under makeup?

I hope you are reviewing the Confidence in a Foundation! It is nice to see It Cosmetics getting a bigger shade range. I know a lot of people had either nothing in their shade or right shade too yellow.

I got a sample of the Chanel foundation and really loved how easily it applied and the fact that it didn't need any setting powder. I think my face was not as moisturized as it could have been so it felt a little dry but still wore really nicely all day. I used to have very oily skin when I was younger and am adjusting to having more combo/dry leaning skin as I've reached my late 40's.

I've got dry skin and was hoping the Chanel would work, but it just didn't, no matter how I applied it. Love the EL Double Wear, but I'll have to give the Loreal True Match a shot! Thanks!

Now that I'm in my 50's...less is more. And I just love the Loreal True Match. Looks like my skin but better and is so affordable. We must have very similar skin texture..wrinkles, texture, and pores. .I've tried recommendations from other you tubers and the products just did not work for me. I'm glad to have found your channel!

Greetings from the North Shore. Another really helpful video! Who so many different primers. It’s so hard to know what’s going to work with what and with our skin. Gets expensive to try all kinds of combos. Thank you again - all your videos are grower.

I bought the L'OrEAL Tru match and I LOVE IT! I was using IT and that foundation just didn't work for my skin. Thank you!

..... I understand about the IT foundation, and the CC by IT Cosmetics. It didn't look good, and I I have to admit that I haven't tried the L'Oreal because my skin does not like liquid foundation.... Liquids just do not work for me, .... And that's been that way for YEARS , ... I always used Victoria Jackson cream foundation, my skin loves that stuff, used it since I was.... In my 30's. It's no longer available, 😕.... I am 65 years young and I keep " trying out " these different foundations, and basically disappointed in most of them. I will give the Chanel a try, but the only thing I've found recently that even looked " decent" was the MAC studio one ( new product) .

Hi Angie, I like L’ORÉAL True Match LUMI. It comes with a pump and goes on well with fingers. Normally, I do not set but I do use setting powder on very hot, humid days. BTW...I’m 66 and still have an oily T-zone (especially in summer).

I still love It Cosmetics cc cream and Bare Minerals complexion rescue. But I go really light on the coverage, I’m 48 with very dry skin 🙂

I am so surprised that you could not get the Estee Lauder to last more than 5 hours! I think it has to do with your skin type? I am normal to slightly dry and it stays on me ALL DAY long. I have tried different primers and have had the same fortune with all of them. Great video. Love learning from you! :)
@janpayne12195 жыл бұрын
I agree, Cheryl. I was surprised to hear Angie say she could only get 5 hrs wear from it. I have never heard that from anyone before. I have worn it for longer than 15 hrs and it still looked good. It’s definitely my favorite and I do not use a primer. However, I do use Elta MD sunscreen under it.

I can't believe I was so hesitant to try the L'oreal after seeing this video a few weeks ago. But I picked it up today and it's amazing! It's amazaing that a liquid can dry to that texture. This may be the one :) I picked up a sample of the IT CC cream and didn't really care for it...seemed much too heavy.

ADD REVLON CANDID!!! Oh Wow!! This stuff is absolutely amazing and only $10.00. I can afford whatever I want and I will be using this for the foreseeable future! It most definitely does not show my pores and I did not even use a primer.....Crazy great!
