Teresa, I must say I really enjoy your videos! Like you, I think about sewing all the time, and you have inspired me so much! I especially loved your "Battle of the xxxx" series. I was really wanting to make the Pattern Emporium Wanderlust dress for summer, but I was agonizing over it because I really didn't relish doing an FBA on a knit dress. And then you mentioned the dress hack you made with the Cashmerette Concord tee! Brilliant! I added my perfectly fitted Concord bodice to the Wanderlust skirt, and it came out great. I even fudged the flare sleeve from the Wanderlust. Thanks for the inspiration!

Oh wow, that's so awesome to hear! It's such a great way to get the fit how you want it. I'm really happy to hear that you had success with your pattern mashup. I've been eyeing that dress up but had the same reaction to the FBA that you did. I've done them before on knits, and they worked out. They're just so much hassle! 😬 Awesome to know that you were able to use the Concord Tee to make it work! I've been planning another battle series for about 9 months but haven't had the time to get it together. It takes over my channel for a good month, but I have so many other videos that I don't want to put on the back burner. Hopefully, I can make it work soon!

Oh wow! New to your channel. I think someone mentioned your videos so I immediately followed. It might have been a result of this tag. I don't wear pants but your first two essentials caught my eye. I need this T and the shorts. I love hoe thoroughly you explained why the patterns work for you. Of course I get sucked into beautiful patterns and stubbornly insist I can make them work for my body. When you say someone other than cashmerette has different cup sizes available, I am all heaving bosoms! Yes, please! When your bust measurement is 49" and you are only 60" tall... you need those inches in the right places!

I copied a pattern similar to the top you are wearing, and have made several short and long sleeve versions in knits AND wovens :) Funny because I have paid a fortune for patterns but do this one the most! Fun video !

HI Teresa! Will you please weigh in on a pattern decision? I have 3+yard of a 100% mid-heavy weight linen. Will it be too stiff for a Zadie jumpsuit? TIA, Kathy

I've seen Zadies in so many fabrics, and I think the pattern works for almost any wovens. I wouldn't go so far as denim, but I think a mid-heavy weight linen would be great as a Zadie. I personally wouldn't hesitate!

That's an easy change to make! You could easily taper them in. You can copy the leg shape from a pair that you like!
